@Ouizkid I've only played 1 match of BR so far, so I cant really speak on the matchmaking yet.

On the loot though, I was pleasantly surprised with the loot distribution in the match I played last night. I saw more weapon attachments and purple shields/mags in that 1 match, than I would have seen in 10 matches in previous seasons. I know loot is completely RNG, but it was a nice change of pace for me. The only item that it took a bit to find, was my 2x scope, but I pulled one out of someone's crate when I killed them. Still never saw one on the floor though. Personally, I thought the loot distribution was vastly improved, but that was just from 1 match. Me and my buddy were both commenting on it

Not trying to discredit you whatsoever but my main is Loba (with more than 15k matches played as Loba) and as i can see throughout the seasons how the loot changes in the shop but also what she can see through boxes, i see way way less purple & gold loot

It drastically changed this season. Usually i can get my teammates and myself at least a decent evo or some attachments but this time around nada.

I figured to check what Apex said about the update and indeed the notes clarified what i thought: significant decrease in purple / golden loot :/

  You guys have not read the patch notes all of this is intended. Less high tier loot by about 30%

    Matchmaking well it was garbage season 17 they admitted it not working and we all saw, experienced and witnessed such event. Season 18 just gonna be as horrible so ye buckle up you are in for a horrible nasty treat.

  @Ouizkid No offense taken! I can only speak on my experiences, so that's all I am able to go on. That first comment was from a sample size of just that 1 BR match, so it could have just been a lucky RNG match for me (which is extremely rare, Lol)
  
  I played a good 5-10 BR matches yesterday though, and I was still having pretty good luck with the loot RNG. Me and my buddy both kept finding purple shields early, and gold helmets out the wa-zoo! I don't know what's going on, but I hope it stays this way, Lmao!! So far this season for me, the only things I'm having a hard time finding are scopes and barrel stabilizers. Plenty of 1x holo everywhere, but I've only seen a 2x bruiser twice so far, and not very many 1x hcog. (I pretty much only use irons, 1x hcog and 2x bruiser sights)
  
  Also, I know there's countless variables in BR games, but I tend to drop at an off-center POI and rotate in as I loot. Perhaps they reduced the number of high-tier items that spawn each match, but improved the actual map distribution of the spawned items? I honestly have no idea, I just know it seems to be a lot more diverse for me now, and I'm all for it. I'll get a better feel over the next week or so, and see if this persists. Hoping it does, and hopefully it improves for you!
