Flagged by anti-cheat without reason
I have played Apex on and off since Beta. A couple of months ago I returned and usually do 3-4 games daily (non-competitive).
Yesterday while queuing up a message popped up saying: "This client's game account has been banned: Banned". This happened following a week of systematic server issues such as disconnecting me from lobby or queue while alt-tabbed, and sometimes in the middle of the match. I am also affected by serious lag issues that at times like rubberbanding (especially after dropoff) and even my minimap disappearing magically. I have a 500Mb internet that has no issues in other online games I play, so I know it's server side.
I have already contacted EA.com help, and they replied that I was "cheating", and the ban would not be revoked. I already submitted a followup complaint but I feel like the account is as good as gone. I haven't "cheated" in any way shape or form, not via third-party apps or in-game shenanigans. I am positive that my account was not hacked because I have been tracking my levels closely since I last came back to the game, and I would have noticed. This leaves two options: either my ID was mixed up with another player (unlikely), or the anti-cheat system flagged me by mistake.
Since this is the Feedback portion of the Forum, here's mine: your anti-cheat AI needs to be updated, because it is flawed and you don't give leeway to false positives such as myself. There is no worse feeling than being banned when you know you have done nothing wrong. Hopefully this doesn't happen to more people because it takes the joy out of Apex Legends.
