I feel the r-301 is hands down the best gun in the game. it absolutely shreds. I was going to suggest adding a barrel attachment to the flatline to make the game a little more balanced gun wise? tho...

Might have to do with you're comfortability using different guns?
Personally I don't see why flatline doesn't have a barrel stabilizer, it always seems to have so much recoil. Though it's not nearly as bad as Lstar, havoc, or devotion. R-301 is definitely better in that aspect.
