Firing Range QOLs
With EA wanting to add more ways to play the game, here's some things I was thinking about when I was recollecting the Nessies after finding out that there was a larger Nessie added for an Alter teaser:
- Things to Do -
1) Tridents
- Add a track over the large body of water for tridents to drive over. These tridents would be smaller, seat one player, and drive slower. The booster becomes a shorter boost
2) Challenges
- Similar to the old firing range, when we had teasers for New Castle, where you must shoot targets through smoke with a P2020, hit targets with a G7, and shoot a Bowcek, add them to the new firing range for players to interact with
- Legend Abilities -
1) Cooldowns
The option to enable no cooldown abilities, (there can be a delay, and it could also deactivate the last ability for ones such as airstrikes to prevent servers from crashing)
2) Build A Kit
- Allow the mixing of abilities, such as allowing a Wattson to use Valkyrie's Jetpacks, Lifeline's drone, and Mirage's ultimate, (this would also extend to perks as well)
- Weapons & Loadouts -
1) Pickup Animation
- Option to disable the pickup animation
2) Weapon Attachments
- Option to select weapon level, (where it would be fully kitted)
3) April Fools
- Add all the weapon variations form the April fools event to the firing range
4) Rampart's Modded Guns
- Added guns modded by Rampart, (or the paintball hop-up)
- Dummies -
1) Equiped Weapons
- Set which weapon, (or weapons), the dummies can randomly spawn with. Right now, they only really use the Hemlok, Peacekeeper, and L-Star
2) Firing Modes
- Right now, there's different levels for the AI to shoot. Add an option to change if they shoot in bursts or beam
3) Movement
- Add more dynamic movement to the dummies, to where they would try to slide, wall jump, etc. rather than just run at the player.
- Also change how they go through doors, sometimes they just get stuck on them
- Some dummies seem to know exactly where you are without seeing or hearing you, make them require line of sight or by hearing a player, if they don't already
4) Tactical dummies
- Dummies can be set to be on their own squad, firing at other players and dummies
- Dummies will heal when hurt
- Lobbies -
1) Joining firing ranges
- Option to make the firing range public, (and an option for going into your own, or a public one)
- Allow friends to join you without you having to leave the firing range, (This should already be a thing, but it doesn't seem to be working)
- Allow a max of 9 players, (or 3 squads), players can select teams
- Option to rejoin a firing range you had left
- Option for the firing range leader to change leaders, who can edit the settings in general, and kick/ban players from their firing range
- Firing Range Nessies -
1) Trophy case
- This will show the Nessies you've found and collected and will be displayed everytime you enter the firing range
- Other players could have their own, or it could show the collective Nessies from all players in the firing range, (but not mix them, to where you'll get a full case from someone who has them all, unless they unlocked them while you were in the firing range)
2) Better placement
- When selecting a Nessie, you can place them like a Wattson ult, rather than just throw them out of the inventory. Some people like to take screenshots, and having to constantly rethrow is annoying
3) UI Elements
- When a Nessie is added, add a UI, (like quests), that shows which Nessie you haven't found yet
- If you found one already, allow it to be earned again if a player wants more than one. This would also show the steps
4) Equipable Nessies
- Allow the Nessies to be wearable on our heads, much how the red Nessie spawns on a firing range dummy's head when its unlocked
5) LTM Special Nessies
- Keep the larger Nessie in the firing range, even after the Alter teaser is over
6) Nessie Evac Balloon
- When the player has enough Nessies in their inventory to activate the Nessie balloon, allow for an option to place a Nessie down, (where it would act similar to Rampart's ult), to where its then toggled to place all required Nessies down in a perfect circle
7) Stackable Nessies
- Currently, there are 10 green, 1 red, 1 blue, 1 cyan, 1 pink, 1 yellow, 1 yellow with purple dots, and 1 giant green Nessie. If you were to try and hold all the Nessies at once, (including the larger one), you won't be able to hold one Nessie. The 10 green ones should condense down into a stack, so we can be a loot gremlin and grab all of them, because why not?
8) Dying Easter Egg
- When dying with a Nessie, it would drop on the ground where we had died, but would also stay in the inventory. After some time, the dropped Nessie would despawn, or when too many are dropped on the ground by players dying. The dropped Nessie would be the first one in the inventory, meaning a colored one could be dropped on death instead
