I think the door shard idea is worth another look. I think if Ol’ Man Fusey punches a door (breaks it). His arm claw cannon extends forward, Electo-Magnet gathers door metals as cannon pulls back, the launches “Shrapnel”. It fits fuses personality and gives him unique way of being aggressive. I agree it shouldn’t do to much damage but should be flashy, maybe has stun, or I think knock back would be a good addition.
I think if it put on knuckle cluster in the ult it should be just one and is either dead center or in the back part of the circle and shouldn’t do full damage.
I think Fußes problem are his tactical and his ultimate ability. Don't get me wrong, I like his kit and his character design but those abilities could be improved to make him more enjoyable.
For the tactical u could add a slow or a stun effect when hit, so that it has a purpose to hit an enemy with it. For now it is just a minor inconvenience for the enemy getting hit by it because it does low damage and doesn't affect the movement.
For the ultimate i had in mind to make the fire start in the middle of the ring and then expand it to its maximal range and stay there for 5 seconds. In this way one has a higher probability to hit someone in the ring and it makes it easier to aim it right, cause you're aiming with the center of the ring and not the outer limit of it
