The G7 is fine were it at. The hop-up helps for close range fights. You need to know when to switch it on or off. Single Fire is still the best. Double Tap is only strong if you land/hit your shoots. If you try hitting people long range with Double Tap, you will find you miss more often than single fire.

I agree, the amount of recoil after firing a G7 with a double tap hop-up is extremely hard to control, which means you will struggle to land distance shots.
I feel like this is meant for close to mid range engagements, so if you're going against this weapon with the double tap hop-up, try staying out of line of sight or stay within its ineffective range. 😁
