If they nerf the fire rate, it will be just like the Longbow. So no reason to have 2 longbows. I think nerf the damage to 32 or 30 (like it was) is better option. I also think getting rid of the double tap and putting like a "dead shot" (a perk that causes no bullet drop) would be a better perk. Then maybe I would use it for distance more.
But yeah there are times I get dropped (or I drop someone) so quickly with it. I thought it was perfectly fine before the damage buff, I was surprised it even got a buff.
@SolitaryMassacreNo? I didn't say 'drop the fire rate to match the longbow'. Right now here are the current rounds per minute each gun fires:
G7 Scout RPM: 273
Triple Take RPM: 75
Longbow RPM: 70
Charge Rifle RPM: 30
So yeah, we could literally halve the RPM of the G7 and it would STILL be twice as fast as the longbow.
*edit* Not to mention, G7 rounds drop a LOT less than the longbow, so you don't have to adjust your aim near as much from a distance.
- 6 years ago@Draknost No,
no mutations- 6 years ago@hhnbbfggty66 : Who said anything about mutations?
- 6 years ago@Draknost Nooooo,
Stop with the Nerfs!
You noobs dont understand why it was buffed in the first place.
During season 2, the longbow firerate was buffed. The Longbow dominated season 2 ranked. So we asked the Devs to buff the G7 a little for season 3. So the Devs buffed the damage from 30 -> 34!
At the beginning of season 3, the Longbow was nerfed back and G7 was buffed to 34. But now since the Longbow had been nerfed the G7 can be nerfed back to 30.
You noobs are now asking to nerf the G7 firerate which would mutate the weapon into something else.
If Respawn decide to nerf the G7, the proper way would be to reduce the damage back to 30.
