Not sure what the problem is with this game. Dunno if it's optimization or what, but I have spoken to many streamers and friends who struggle to stream this game just because of the heavy load it has on the GPU. We've done a lot of research into "fixes" that other people have proposed, and they do not actually fix the problem. You have to limit your game so much that you have to ask yourself, is that really a fix? Friends and myself have run more intense games in max settings while streaming and had zero problems, which leads us to believe this game isn't optimized well at all on PC (can't speak for console but I'm assuming it's probably the same)I would really love to see an optimization update in the future because there is no reason this game should take up 65-80% of someones GPU on the lowest settings. For those people who still need a fix and can't seem to find one, lowering the game to 30 FPS is a solution we found during our research that actually works and isn't entirely noticeable. Hopefully EA will roll out some updates which make it easier for people to play and stream because currently, unless you have a dual pc setup then you will most likely run into problems streaming this game. note: not everyone I've spoken to has had drastic problems streaming this game, but a majority have.

@KARIIMEW thanks for that, sorry it didn't help, that's pretty much the limit of my experience TBH.If it's just an issue when you stream and run the game i'd probably raise a new thread on the Technical issues forum and submitting some diagnostics for them to look at. I don't like going to 30fps and I personally notice the difference. I did test after test for hours yesterday and I would lose my mind as well any time it dropped below 60 fps. But for SOME people it wasn't entirely noticeable when they dropped it to 30fps, so I provided it as a temporary solution for those still having troubles who won't go mad doing so.My point essentially is that after testing all the possible solutions I was able to find to the problem myself and others have been having, you have to limit your game to fix it, which isn't really an ideal fix. I'm saying they need to find an actual fix, eg, optimizing it better so that you don't have to limit the game to hell and back just to be able to stream it smoothly.Also, maybe I'm not fully educated on optimization and that's a me problem, but you don't have to insult me to make your point. It's uncalled for. I spoke to many friends who essentially said it's how the game was optimized and so that's what I chalked it up to, poor optimization. If that isn't the correct terminology then again, my bad.But my point stands that, you shouldn't have to limit this game so drastically just to be able to stream it and play it if you have a decent to good PC, which I do. I have no problem with more intense games, so why is this one such a problem? Because of how they made it. It's new and with how popular it is and how many complaints there have been about this, I expect it to be dealt with in the future, but I wanted to raise it because of the 30fps solution I found that doesn't drive SOME people nuts.

im not a tech geek but is'nt high GPU usage meant good optimization? it means the game fully utilize the GPU power (unless the fps is capped) at least that's what i want my game to do. maybe it made more sense if youre talking about high CPU usage.and the absurd statement about '30fps is not noticeable' aside, okay im gonna give it a benefit of the doubt that maybe a minor population of people might not notice. but still, they're at a disadvantage when playing against people with 60+ fps because of their higher reaction time and lower input delay.

I already said in my reply that poor optimization may not have been what I was going for. The problem at hand is that this game takes so much GPU that it leaves little room for much else. It's not a problem if you're just playing the game, but if you're trying to stream too then it becomes a problem for a lot of people. People want to stream this game, but have problems because of this. I notice when my FPS drops below 60, but other people who don't pay attention to that said they were fine at 30 fps, hardly noticed a difference, and it was a fix for them. KUDOS if it solved the problem for them, but it is a terrible solution.

My point still stands, limiting the crap out of your game isn't an ideal fix for this problem, especially if you have a good set up and encounter this problem regardless, which many people seem to be having.

Out of interest what are your PC specs and capture software? I've streamed this a little on my older PC (4-5yrs old) but stopped as OBS kept crashing, moved over to GeForce experience and it's fine - but i stopped as i lose all the plugins. Have ended up moving over to Xbox to streams instead.

I'm not extremely tech savvy but I have been told I have a decent to good rig and should be able to play/stream this no problem, but I can't.

Hmm, I presume that's the 6gb 1060? other than that being an unbalanced pairing with your CPU i dont see what the problem would be, i was streaming on Pc with a worse set up..

Are you using OBS to stream? if so you might want to see if they still do the AMD plugin so you can process the stream with your CPU power rather than your GPU, which might help.

I use x264 to stream and I still have the problem because, while it uses a majority of my CPU power to stream, it still requires some GPU and this game takes up so much GPU that it leaves no room for OBS to have pretty much anything. If I want to stream at 720p, 60fps, then OBS is going to take 15-20% GPU to do so while the game is taking anywhere from 25%-40% (when in the lobby) to 40%-95% (when in the game). This is with all of the settings on the lowest option or disabled if it has an option to disable it.

And it's not just MY computer. A lot of other people are having this exact same problem with even better PCs than mine, or worse.

He also didn't explain if there's anything special you have to do to use the plugin so I just installed it, replaced the files in the folder since it said I already had them, then opened my OBS and used x264, 720p, 60fps, and still had the same problem. It uses CPU and GPU.
