Gas Damage per tick increased: 1 -> 4 only first TICK

The first TICK is 4, then its like the previous tick only + 1 damage, so its still bad, i was surprised when i have see it, "oh awesome the gas do nice gamage now" i was wrong, only the first tick is...

Can a devs or Something tell us if this is intended ? If yes this is very bad
