Greedy Bundles & Ugly Skins
Respawn, what the hell did you do to Loba's holiday skin!? What a crushing disappointment to see that Loba's holo day bash skin looks like it was designed by a child. Lack luster outfit, boring color pallet, and the makeup, dear god do I even need to mention the horrific blue cement on her face? The all white model of the unfinished skin was a better look than the final version. I was actually excited to spend money on a Loba skin, and was equally crushed to see the final product, and the way its offered. Now, Respawn wants me to pay over $20 for a poorly designed, and ugly skin, oh and they will throw in a p2020 skin too? No thanks.
The overpriced Christmas bundles are an obvious money grab. All of the skins from 2019 Holo Day event were available in special packs, and all of them could be obtained for the same price, or less, than a single one of the 2020 bundles. The obvious attempt to tie less popular skins, in with skins that Respawn thinks we will want, is offensive to the gamers, aka customers.
The black Friday sale of the Legends of the Hunt skins was another abomination. I personally would have liked a couple of the skins, and would have paid for at least one of them. However, if I wanted the Wraith skin, it would have cost me upwards of $60 to get in the bundle for 6000 apex coins. Because I'm not rich, or an idiot, I'd rather spend that $60 to feed my family for a week.
EA is beyond hope, as we all know, but Respawn, please listen to your customers. In my opinion, you could sell a lot more items, by giving your customers items to purchase a la carte. I know for a fact, I would have purchased the r301, and Bangalore's Stay Frosty skins, if I could buy them outside of a bundle. Instead, I will be spending zero money on Apex Legends this holiday season, so overall, a big thumbs down to 2020 Apex Legends, and 2020 in general.
