Switch battle pass purchased on EA

Ok cool. Seems like that's a pc only app. Once I download that do I also need apex downloaded on that PC? I have steam already I just never got around to downloading apex on it since I like playing on the switch better. 

ArchangelGlaedr​ Yes, you would need to download and launch Apex through the EA App since the purchase was made through your EA Account, (if you login to the game via Steam, it won't work since your Steam Account wasn't the account that had purchased the Battle Pass).

Gotcha. And once I get that downloaded, it will automatically transfer to the switch since the EA and Nintendo accounts are linked? All this for $20 lol. I do want to get it to work just cause it's easier to purchase through EA than Nintendo.

Correct, if the Switch Account is linked to the same EA Account, it will have access to the Battle Pass, (along with Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation, if you also have those accounts connected as well).
