Havoc Rifle is TERRIBLE
Why is there a charge time to get the Havoc rifle shooting??? The Volt can just fire immediately and, well, its f-ing good. If the Havoc didn't have such a long charge-up time, maybe it would be a ...
@StarMystro It can be a good surprise weapon for some users, I agree... but where I have an issue is the recoil pattern is not easily compensated after firing for .33 seconds. Having to do a hip-fire for a split second, then ADS to get the most DPS is not advantageous in anyway when battling another squad or multiple persons. Another issue is the ability to 'stun-lock' people when firing. I cannot seem to make people flinch enough in a battle with this weapon to win the encounter. Even if I had same shield level and full mag of Energy ammo, they can still down/eliminate me faster because the flinch doesn't make them miss enough... compared to other weapons.
If I can get someone off guard with this weapon then it can get very useful, but I cannot justify the use of this in most lobbies because there are better weapons at all ranges.
Examples in my opinion on Xbox:
Close --> Mastiff or Alternator / R-99
Mid-close --> R301 / Volt
Mid-long --> Valk / Hemlock
Long --> would use this at long range period from the recoil... but Triple Take, G7, etc.
I don't see this as a viable weapon, unless it's the only one I can get on initial spawn or respawn.
There needs to be an update (probably wont be any time soon) for this and other weapons on recoil, TTK and other aspects that show why vast majority of players on a given interface (PC, Xbox, PS4, etc.) don't play with specific weapons.
Hope you are kidding?
It shreds with very little recoil. Ofc not a gun you can do much movement outplays with without a turbocharger apart from tricking someone to follow you around a corner and stand ready and wound-up as he appears =)
