Hide and Seek in Ranked

This issue was made crystal clear in the elite queue; it's highly perplexing that Respawn would devise a points system for ranked that encourages the exact same behaviour.

Respawn does not care a bit about good gameplay.

They are putting all their money in  the legends their stories and promotional video's.

good voice overs, Throwing away you mozambique meme.

I love what they did with the map.

The game and the characters are great.

But it all meens nothing if the fundemental reason people play the game does not work.

People action in a shooter, Pure hide and seek games don't exist because they are boring as *

So they have a team that can make a original good BR game.

But they completely fail at the compedative part.

So they think up all these things that make this a potential amazing game.

And then they compeltetely * up the ranked system with ONLY placement as RP rewards with 5 kills max as extra RP. Less then 1 hour of tought have been put into this.

Nobody likes a hide and seek game.

the forums where 90% people complaining about apex elite and 10% people calling it tactics.

Yet they just do it agian.

They have amazing designers creating the game.

But 0 XP in the compedative scene.

And that is what is going to kill the game if they don't start investing in that essential part of the game.

A game can look amazing.

But when the gameplay is boring. The game is boring.

So now i have the choice to play ranked and go hide and seek and get rekt by a bunch of campers every match.

Or play normal apex legends for nothing and just stomp on noobs all day long without getting any rewards or competition.

I got to platinum like 24hours ago and grinded few points before I gave up on the whole situation on PC... I do not want to camp but I have no choice as there is way too many cheaters in one game... I have gotten into a game with cheaters as teammates and watched them aimbot people around until they got killed by guess who another bunch of aimbotters... Best part, I have recorded it and its stored on twitch

All they need to do is remove the rp cost of each ranked game.

Most people are doing the hide and seek strat because you literally get more to at the end for dying with 0 kills in 2nd place, than you do for getting a bunch of kills and getting top 20 or top 10.

Had 9 kills in ranked game but it tops out at 5.

But yeah, remove having to pay RP just to play ranked mode, is stupid in my opinion. 

Especially if you are solo queuing and people go to places that are very populated and you die right away. Not only do you lose and it's frustrating, but you also lose ranked points.

Needs to be removed. People wouldn't hide and would be alot more aggressive just like the regular Apex mode.

And the fact that you have to do completely beast just to make up for a few quick losses makes it no fun and just makes me personally want to play non ranked. You can actually have fun, land wherever you want, do any strategy. 

Ranked you are forced to hide and try to get at least top 5 or it just feels like a waste of time.

Seriously remove the rp entry cost and that will make ranked mode alot better. That's the problem imo.

@Bones3OThe problem is aimbotters, top tier players usually dont hide, if situation is bad and we get third partied we do hit and run or just fight until we win or die. The reason why me and most of my friends are hiding is that we are scared of loosing points because of some aimbotting * who thinks its funny to melt you from 100m in 0.5s... I have given up in the middle of the way to plat 3 when I got two aimbotters in my team (as I mentioned I have that recorded) and the game after an aimbotter with someone who payed the cheater to queue with him to rank up. Wonder why ranked is not locked behind lvl 100. That would solve the problem to certain extend... But hey, its respawn they dont fix the issue, they cover it with lies and small updates that will just hide the problem.

Level 100 sounds like a good idea. I have a couple friends who aren't 100 so I wouldn't be able to do ranked with them but it would still be all good.

I can totally understand about the aimbotters tho that is not cool. 

I like to think I'm somewhat decent at this game, not a top tier player or anything but I still get into situations where I wish I wasn't about to lose points at the end of this game. Like having to drop solo or having a bad team can be just as bad as dealing with aimbotters. It's not easy to 1vs3 and to have to give back RP just for a fail game really sucks.
