Hipfire Crosshair

Would it be possible to make the hipfire crosshairs for guns more customizable, or at the very least more accurate to the spread, because  most guns, shotguns especially, have hipfire reticles 20%-60% bigger than the actual spread. It makes aiming harder than it should be, because someone can look mostly centered but in reality be only within a third of the actual blast pattern.
