Hitscan vs Projectile
Want to start out by saying the game is amazing, congratulations!
The only problem I have with this game is, correct me if I’m wrong, but all the weapons are projectile. I have to lead bullets into the target even at close range. I understand the importance of making all the weapons projectile in a battle royale game because of the massive open field players have to run across from. And landing shots from a very far distance should have skill involved.
The way hitscan weapons are balance in Overwatch is by increasing the falloff damage of the weapon once you shoot at certain distance. The longer the distance, the less damage it does expect for snipers. Snipers are not effected by the falloff damage.
I truly enjoy hitscan much more than projectile because you just aim and click. Just some personal thoughts I wanted to share. Maybe increase the bullet speed to make it feel like it’s hitscan or make all the weapons hitscan but once you click on something at a certain distance, that bullet becomes a projectile? Oh well, it’s still a fun game!
