How do you open Apex packs while having also Event packs?

For some reason I bought the lifeline event bundle already but I want to craft as much Epic as possible before opening those 7 event packs,
the question is those normal apex packs I got from level and BP are stacking up with Event packs now and I have to open them first before Apex packs...

Is it intentional? or bug? I thought we should have another tab/screen/option to open just Apex packs...
PS...I just want more craft metals...
