    I did see this pop up in the Apex subreddit earlier, which did receive a developer reply as well, if you hadn't seen that.

@Moongrave I think a good solution for that is to bundle up the arrows which land on a certain area. With that I mean that arrows which land around another arrow within a 5 or 10 meter radius will apply to it as a stack. That would solve 3 issues at once: Reduced risk of lag, reduced chance to trigger discomfort and a better way to collect arrows.

A better way to highlight ammo on the ground like that could be via a small 'beam' of color. Similar to ammo pickups in Warframe
