Yeah, I can't find the Re-45 that I spent hundreds of dollars on, as well as close to 1000 hrs in the firing range to master. Bought almost every single skin available for it, including all the new ones put out for it. One of the only reasons I continue to come back and play the game was because of that weapon.
Its description: Well lets see, it was a light ammo weapon, full auto pistol. I believe it was in the game since Apex launched beta. So just over 6 years.... Can anyone explain where it went and what am I to do with hundreds of dollars worth of Re-45 skins I can't use, as the original gun is nowhere to be found.
I can understand your frustration about this.
I do not like the new RE-45 energy pistol at all as well. I loved using the light ammo version.
However this is a living game, that changes things a lot. One could argue the same thing about so many original things in game that are not there anymore or have changed. What I am to do with all of my cool Caustic skins that I do not use anymore, OG Caustic was a madman and the new Caustic is weak, etc etc etc.
We just need to roll with the punches.
Very different example - now, if caustic was changed to lets say, a female and gas was no longer the ability kit, lets say the abilities was now zipping like pathy or scanning like bloodhound, then you would have a case. The Re-45 has been nerfed and buffed a few times throughout its lifespan in this game... that is more what you are talking about.
There is a significant difference between a fully auto pistol and a burst pistol - not even including the ramp up. complete change here, not just the gun is too strong or too weak.
Would you have the same feeling if say the mastiff after you bought every skin for it cause you love shottys was changed to a sniper rifle? Or for all the sniper fans out there that bought every skin for the sentinal, just to have it say... changed into a sub machine gun.
Roll with the punches? Like I said, I bought almost every single skin, every new one put out just prior to the change without any notice. Don't defend what respawn has done here. I can understand making the Re-45 weak, even changing the recoil pattern I could accept, this is a completely different gun, after they sold skins for years. There is nothing you can say to defend this.
You missed my point I think.
I am also not trying to defend EA/Respawns decision on changing the RE-45. Trust me on that I would love to have the RE-45 back to the way it was. Not particularly for the skins (yes there are a lot of good ones) but because it was my go to close range choice.
Point is it is a live game and they will change things all we can do is advocate for the reversal of said change and hope they listen.
I like this post because of the humorous tone, but I liked the last one better because it was angrier. Be angry. It makes me feel more justified when I get angry at this game. Which lately is a lot.
