Heh, If I can prevent one person from putting money in rEAspawn's pocket - that is a good day.
I am well aware of the studies EA with university's have done to understand how to optimize profits through studies on human behavior - this is well known and available online.
So let me be clear here, if you are able to come off your high horse and lower yourself to my level (please do talk down to me) - I am an ancient cowboy for having a favorite gun in a video game, one that obviously you don't agree with? If the gun I was speaking about was the same gun you enjoy using in Apex - would I still be considered an ancient cowboy for using it, enjoying it, or playing well with it?
Are you suggesting players should only be using guns that are meta?
"dunked on every game as soon as you face some decent players" - My words were, its my go to gun, because simply, I play best with it. I think I said it was one of the only guns I can compete with a cheater and a pred and master player ( I shouldn't be up against in the first place) - Are you suggesting I should not be using the gun I play best with - because you know - evolution?

It is very odd though isn't it ... that people would have a favorite legend or main, a favorite weapon or a favorite map in a video game. Just the darndest thing I've ever heard. Weird individuals again, cause evolution. Lol jeesh.
I don't need to talk down to you or anyone, makes no sense to me. So please don't get emotional over word usage, I am no poet or writer nor English is my native language. I just write words that have a meaning.
Answering your questions:
1. regarding guns = Apex is the game known for mixing up meta guns and legends, so if you really want to have competitive edge you MUST INDEED use them.
Comparison to cowboy was because of two pistols usually associated with them, no cowboys were running with spitfire or charge rifle :)
2. doing your best with X gun = if you do your best with meta gun, you actually are doing your best. If you are avoiding meta guns because you can't control them, you are doing sub part of what is best possible. Sure you can compare say hitting 0 shots with R99 close range vs hitting half mag of RE45 as "doing better" yet in both cases more often than not you will face players that can hit shots with say r99 and they will win majority if not all 1v1 vs you so end result in any case will be a lose. For me only end result matters. If for you say dying while doing 0 damage vs 50 damage makes difference, you call it better result...that is your view and I accept it. My post was meant to yield better results = win at least some of the fights.3. many people "main" guns, legends, maps just because they lazy to learn new "tricks". I never got this. You have a game where there are like 20 or something legends, yet you choose to "main" only one and usually in parallel cry about nerfing other legends as yours now is not meta...same goes with guns and maps.
People who try just might feel uncomfortable for like a week or few but then they just put in work, time, have basics still there available for them, make it work. See how pros do that...ok they get early access most of the time but noone was born to main Ash Ballistic Alter...they learned how to do that, how to time abilities, ults vs randoms / casuals that just press buttons when they feel like it and see what happens next :)p.s. based on your post again I have a mild skepticism towards "you being competitive vs Preds/Masters with RE45 :)".

You butchered my words and then continued to contradict yourself in your following posts. You just made up your own opinions and put words into my mouth I never spat out - the what and why - when my words are right there for you to read. Then based on your opinions ran with statements that don't even coincide with my words. Continued to call players who main legends, maps, weapons "LAZY". & much more I don't feel like repeating. I've already spent more time on you than you deserve.
Can you see why the word "unpleasant" came to mind?
I didn't say I can't use other guns, I can use them all (not great with snipers), I pick up whatever is available to me, until I find what I ENJOY, using the most - which just also happens to be the one I play best with. Oh NO, you're skeptic I play best with the Re-45 vs masters and preds LOL, How will I ever sleep at night, a complete stranger whom means nothing to me doesn't believe me, wow, thanks though... that gave me a great chuckle.
Based on your own words, almost every match I play is against masters and preds, of course I beat some. I've been playing the game since it launched beta.
