Ideas - Banners, Clubs, QOL, & More
[Banner Card Concept]
Its not the first time something like this has been suggested, and I'm sure it won't be the last, but having more slots for badges would be pretty cool to see.
First one is a more compact and clean look, the second one is just because I felt like adding more badge slots.
Player cards should always show a player's level to better help identify how long a player has been playing, as well as know what kind of player you're dealing with. (Even though there's smurphs).
At the bottom, your club's icon and name should show up. This is because overall, the icon of your club isn't even used outside of looking at it in the club tab, and showing a name can help people identify if players are in the same club, or somehow has the same club tag. (I've gotten players as teammates who had the same tag, but were not in the club)
There could be more slots for stat cards, although I wasn't sure how those would fit in on the card, same with how you would identify the player's highest rank without having to use up a badge slot.
Season 12's icon is a placeholder for the club's icon.
[Club Ideas]
- Ability to unlock more club member slots through challenges
- Club Badge (would replace the club icon on the banner card)
- Club Gun Charm (put that club logo to some use)
- Ability to view members of a given club
- Club Level (this wouldn't be new badges like account levels, but it would allow more design options for the club's logo such as animated designs, as well as give us other options like the first idea (unlocking club member slots))
- Custom Ranks, Rank Color, and Permissions (visible to members of that club, in case of bad ranks. I don't like the current concept of "grunts" and whatnot.)
[UI Changes]
- In the ALGs, we got to see a shortcut to things such as health, shields, grenades. This was mentioned by previously here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Feedback/User-interface-shortcut-displays-improvement-from-ALGS/m-p/11305817/highlight/true#M93179 Teammate's helmet, knockdown, and backpack should also show up on their card near their health bar.
- Make the outline of a player you crack glow briefly to your whole team. Currently, it just says "Cracked armor [Legend]" in the kill feed, while the shooting legend states they broke armor. This isn't helpful when fighting multiple teams.
[Minor Valkyire Changes]
- Show scanned players an icon that indicates a Valkyrie is currently scanning them. I remember seeing this suggested on Reddit. Scan icon could be disabled during the first drop, as it would be highly annoying seeing it everytime.
- Make her stop saying "three down and locked", when in a duos match, or otherwise not having 3 teammates. It makes little sense.
- Fix her "knocked down" voice line. Randomly when shooting downed enemies, and enemies in general (typically another Valkyrie), my Valkyrie or a teammate, who is playing as her, would say "crashing and burning over here!", despite having HP and shields. She's the only legend that states a knocked down line while not knocked down.
[Minor Maggie Change]
- Make her tactical take slightly longer to recharge, it just seems like too much right now.
[Minor Ash Change]
- Allow Ash to be able to place her ultimate, without being shoved through it right away.
[Legend Token Shop]
- Make all items that require legend tokens, show up in one place. New legends unlocked can still be on the legends tab. This is simply because waiting for reskins to return is sort of pointless, and often players do not have the required skin to even unlock the reskin. If a player doesn't own the original skin, then you should charge them more legend tokens in order to unlock the reskin. Original one can remain unlocked, if not crafted. Legend tokens go very unused, as they're just used to buy reskins for guns and legend skins that most of us have skins for locked, and to get new legends. There's no further purpose other than those two things. Which, there should be more of a purpose, such as converting into crafting materials, which could become heirloom shards. Although the whole concept of conversion could very easily not happen, as event stores allow you to use 2400 crafting materials to unlock golden items, and around 800 for epic items. It be nice if EA/Respawn was less grabby with money, but *shrug* I guess.
[More Options of Getting Heirloom Shards]
Packs are the only way of getting these shards. After 500 packs of no shards, you're automatically granted shards. With the concept of Mythic skins, this should be reworked and changed. Edited: Players have tested that after 500 packs, they're not being granted heirloom shards, and instead its a chance of luck. This really should be changed into a better system.
- Heirloom shards should be random rewards from events (could be at most 50, instead of the instant 150)
- 1 Heirloom for becoming level 500 (like... for real... most of us didn't get any shards, we're level 500+, day/week/month 1 players, and for some reason BRAND NEW accounts who are like level 5, get like 3 heirlooms. One of my friends started playing a few seasons ago for a little bit, and never bought packs, and they had gotten 2 heirlooms. Two other friends with slightly older accounts, also got 1-3 heirlooms. I've only recently been granted heirloom shards - and that was by reaching a total of 500 packs. *sigh*)
[Heirloom Trade In]
- Allow players to turn in heirlooms for other heirlooms as much as they want. This is mainly for all you Wraith players that got slapped with the Kuni before we got new heirlooms. However, each time you trade in an heirloom, its going to cost either crafting materials, or legend tokens. (I do not think this should require Apex Coins, that seems a bit much and many of us bought our heirlooms from events, if we wanted to trade that, it shouldn't cost an arm and a leg to do so). After a trade, there's a cooldown before you could trade that item in for another one. (Trades happen with the game's Mythic store, and it will reset progress on Mythic skins. Trades should not be between players for many reasons such as scamming, possible loss, and the likes. This trade system *would* be cool to see between players for things like legend skins and gun charms, but I feel that should remain untradeable for reasons mentioned above. That, and people could just transfer items from hacked accounts or alts, which wouldn't be good).
[Knockdown Shields, Knocked State, & Revives]
- Add a function to knockdown shields to become a dome around the player (Mentioned on another Reddit post). You can still use a finisher on a player who's using the dome, but you cannot shoot at them or use abilities like Maggie's drill, instead they convert the knockdown shield's health into a timer. I often use a finisher to disable a deployed knockdown shield, and would then cancel the finisher to hit the player before the shield goes back up. Redeploying a knockdown shield after a finisher is canceled should be allowed to be faster. (This dome idea means that if a player has a white knockdown of 100 HP, they can block in front of them, then if they're attacked from the sides or behind, they're able to further protect themselves from being finished off. This function would turn whatever is left of the shield into a 360 protection bubble.) Teammates and enemies cannot be inside the dome at any given moment, if there happens to be enough room - this is because someone could just hide in it and heal up or bypass its purpose.
- Knockdown shields could also just be a dome that can be broken by shooting at it, and knocked players could also be given a pistol, which can be shot while they're not defending themselves.
- Allow players to self-cancel Lifeline revives. The current system allows the Lifeline to cancel the revival, but sometimes they don't do that when they should. This cancel should also apply to players being manually revived. Reviving a self-reviving player should cancel the player from using the golden knockdown, since you're able to help them instead. Some players would just waste this knockdown shield.
- Allow two knocked teammates to assist in reviving each other. Sometimes the 3rd is just too busy 1v3ing another team, so allow the other two to help each other back up. This revive process can take longer than a golden knockdown shield. I am aware that people are often killed off once knocked, but if knockdown domes are added, this could provide another layer to gameplay.
- Allow players to carry teammates. I'm honestly surprised this hasn't been added. This was also something mentioned on a Reddit post.
[Firing Range]
- A reworked firing range with more options, such as map layouts, different dummy AI, and allowing more players, as well as an easier way of toggling the "easter eggs".
- Remove the legend despawn between switching legends. This was suppose to prevent bugs and glitches, or something like that, but hey if you were trying to stop us from getting out of bounds, we're still able to do that, so hey... don't punish everyone just because some of us like to have fun. Besides, firing range holds no candle to any other modes or stats, so why bother killing us when we switch legends?
Proof that we can still get out of bounds:
- Allow players to join you while you're in the firing range, and be placed in the firing range while waiting in a lobby of someone who is currently in a match, or allow us to spectate the match.
