- @Android_Nana The annoying part is that PC users can just plug in a controller or use a program to make the computer think you're using a controller when you're not, and slap on aim assist for you. Right now, there's a lot more cheaters in ranked. I'm talking about players who can insta crack any armor (including red) in like 0.1s like it's just butter. It's getting rather annoying.
- @Android_Nana Aim assist isnt even that powerful on controller. PC player can control recoil way easier then someone using a controller. I used both Mouse and keyboard and controller and It actually easier using a mouse to kill someone then controller. Maybe you just need to improve your aim.
PC players have been using controllers forever, so this isn't some breaking news story caused by the implementation of crossplay. And as I've said before, console players have a far more massive aversion to being lobbied with PC players than PC players have to being lobbied with console players. There are far more cheaters on PC than console and when I heard about crossplay, I physically recoiled at the thought of aimbotting basement dwellers infecting xbox lobbies.
Ever since these aim-assist QQ posts kicked off in season 7, I turned it off on all the games I play and didn't notice any difference whatsoever. Considering what aim-assist actually does, if your performance against other players is diminished because of it, you're just a mediocre player. I haven't done any worse with my shooting without it. I simply adapt to the lack of targeting and adjust my hand-eye coordination accordingly. Do you see me complaining about how unbeatable MK players are?
- E9ine_AC6 years agoHero+@XxQuakeZxX Perhaps you missed the video on these forums of even hip firing fully following a slow strafing octane in firing range. Not that strong? It tracks players on hip fire. lol

not that strong?
Its literally programmed at 60% for console, and 40% for pc controller.
@E9ine_AC Part of the issue is that we're console players fighting against console players and we don't see any of the situations that the PC crowd brings up.
Tracking through smoke? I can't do that and my team can't. Enemies can't seem to track us through smoke yet PC claims AA gives us the ability to do this easily.
Auto tracking on hipfire? Who even hipfires unless they're trying to dodge shots? Not sure if that's true since ADS is far superior.
Also PC has always had issues with modders and hacks or people on PC exploiting the systems to get AA for M/KB.
It's far more likely that you're getting beat by modders/hackers/better players than aim assist so it's hard to take these arguments seriously.
Plus both the PC and Console crowd exaggerate what the other side can do so it all sounds like lies to me.

@Zamaha400Hip fire is the most underrated thing. I got roughly 14k games played. I would honestly say a good 30% of my kills in these games are pure hip fire. We are not confusing it with anything when the video is proof for all to see and most have seen.
Perhaps you should put in more games to know..This is not me saying I'm better then you because I got xxx amount of games played. This is me saying I have played enough games I have spectated enough people to know the difference.
Now if you could kindly watch this video and see its in none of our heads it is no lie. You simply just have zero idea.
@E9ine_AC Oh I've seen that video and my first response was "Wow aim assist is insane for controllers on PC." This was discussed in a massive thread before crossplay was added.
A similar video was produced showing aim assist on consoles being significantly weaker. If both videos were real then it explains why console players and PC players disagree so strongly on AA. It's a different beast on PC.
Following that posters claimed the strength of AA was 60% on the PS4 while only 40% on PC which conflicted with both videos.
I believe what you say about AA being insane but maintain that's only for PC controller users not Console. Even some of the comments in that video mention how AA is weaker on consoles.
- @Zamaha400 There is a post where a developer disassembled the Apex code and found that yes consoles get 60%. You can't argue when you actually see it in the code. Everything else is BS and just opinions.
"Who even hipfires unless they're trying to dodge shots?"
Anyone using a lmg, hemlock or wingman.
