Good observations. Yes, the mode would be better off shunted to some out-of-the-way corner of the game where it wouldn't interfere with "normal" gameplay.
Mostly I ignored it, and mostly effectively. The exception is when you get down to the last few squads and one or more of them have location ping on their enemy. Not appropriate. That's not how the endgame is supposed to play out, imo.
Also, extra pissed that in the middle of the mode's run the developer just randomly removed all tridents from Edge and Storm Point. Complete b*llsh*t.

There was some issues with the Tridents. I know, I miss them too.

Good to know. Thanks for the link. Makes it sound as if it's unrelated to the takeover. ???- @reconzero Not sure what bug it was, but it was most likely an exploit or server crashing bug.
