Just a Reminder (Why Respawn Refuses to Add Solos)

For those that never had a chance to play shadowfall... just imagine mission 3 when you start out in shadow form... now imagine that as a full on solos game mode where most of the players in the lobby were shadows chasing down players with increased speed, infrared vision, and could knock you with full shields in 1-2 hits... now imagine this mode with deathmarkers that revealed your location when you killed another player or shadow so you would have multiple shadows skydiving on you to punish you one after another over and over.... until you were eventually eliminated and turned into a shadow yourself

where im going with this is the fact that you had a very little chance for success without teaming with other players, once players reached the final 10 everyone that was left would become teammates Anyways so it only made sence to team up with other players to survive the apocalypse and escape to the dropship...

This was the 2nd and last time apex has ever introduced a solos mode to the game because ‘’it was unhealthy for the game’’ no crap... you made a solos mode with the worst conditions possible and refuse to bring back the real thing... the iron crown event was what solos is supposed to be 60 players 1 vs 1 vs 1 etc and it was the best gamemode that as ever happened to this game (other than the Winter Express Event) there was teaming rarely I only had one instance with 3 gibbys against me but thats nothing like compared to shadowfall where teaming was literally the only way to have a chance without camping above the door right next to where the dropship spawns thats surrounded by shadows

basically the lack of solos is the sole reason why I left this game except for dailys, you can use the excuse that some legends are stronger than others but its part of the damn game... I love to play as every character and remember playing as lifeline all the time and shes one of your excuses because of her abilitys are team based... her abilitys were great for solod aswell and with mirages new rework I would love to bamboozle other users on solos too

    @FaIIenAngeI777 With this phase of matchmaking "SOLO MODE" will save many players, but assuming that from the daily players base 100% = 70% will choose SOLO, what will happen to DUOS and TRIOS? only 30%
    is not an option for them.

    @FaIIenAngeI777 Solos is boring, and it will not work with this game. Champions are designed to use abilities in a team, if you don't agree, then explain how to Crypto in solos?

    Only a few champions like Wraith can actually do solos, and that is why it will be boring... it will be 30 wraiths playing against each other all the time.

    DUOs are the best, if you want solos and you consider yourself a good player, you should be able to survive duos, even with weak teammates.

    @AlphabetsI have literally solo dropped and won the game as kill leader on crypto with 8 kills against trios... im not the best and if I can do it anyone can you dont just hide in a corner on your drone all day... you use it long enough to EMP and push, also Ive really wanted to test out crypto’s emp on solos to destroy a caustic or wattson camper’s traps to push them lol it sounds fun

    Agree!

    1. Any legend can be played offensively, except maybe Wattson (but even that is debatable)

    2. A lobby full of wraiths is not an issue. There are about 4-5 popular legends picked who you face no matter the mode. Most teams are made up of the same legends.

    3. (Maybe most importantly) When playing with randoms, a huge number play the game as if it were a solo mode anyway by dropping solo/dc'ing when they die. I don't think a solo mode drawing players away from duos or trios is an issue because:

    A) It would siphon away the "solo" random teammates, leaving duos and trios populated with people who actually want to play in teams.

    B) Overall player numbers for Apex as a game would either stay the same or increase.

    4. "Negative effect on new player retention" < negative effect on veteran player retention

    Ultimately, this game is super fun if you have a premade and exhausting if you are alone. I think a lot of people would end up playing way more if there was a solo mode if only for the fact that they would continue having fun even if their friends weren't online.
