Landing with a weapon

I dont think that letting people start with a ranged weapon, even a P2020 or Mozambique, will "solve" anything. People would just start shooting like crazy at everything that moves and the early game would probably just feel even more random and RNG. At least now, only enemies right next to you can damage you. Imagine the frustration if you land alone at a bin and start spamming e to open it and 2-3 random enemies "randomly" choose you as their target and you die instantly from getting hit by three Mozambique blasts at the same time.

I mean, the main issue is that people like to jump hot, i.e. to few loot spawns location per player in the area. I do it all the time because I think its the most fun way to play the game, at least up to Diamond. If you hate the RNG with the loot early game, then you could always either drop real safe or pay attention to enemy teams drop trajectory and drop accordingly. 

If dive trails from other teams reliably showed up, avoiding contested drops would certainly be a good strategy.

I've lost count of the number of times I've had squads magic out of thin air upon landing after a carefully observed descent.

Yeah Ive experienced that too sometimes but when it happens, its at least always teams that are behind you. I cant say if its a bug or if it just me who miss them when I look around because they are too far behind and above me. I usually just look at the nearby enemy teams trail trajectory when we still are quite far up in the air just to try to predict what general direction they are going for.

That's just it. I get a bad taste in my mouth knowing that I just waited for a match to load and now I have to wait again. It's not really that satisfying if I down a player right off the get go knowing that I pulled a gun and he's got an extended mag and a barrel mod from a box. I feel like I just got lucky and it wasn't based on skill. Do you like the fact that it is just you with fists or do you think there can be something better? I think there can be some sort of improvement on this. 

It baffles me why they don't just keep alternative game modes indefinitely. 

@Professor_DoggyThats actually a great idea, i thought about something similiar to that but it would be in stages just a little stage with wattson fences around it, and then it would start out with 8 players who would punch it out (1 vs 1 in multiple stages at once) then the 4 who won each would move on to the next round then the final 2 would punch it out to decide who won, if this sounds too easy it could start with 16 players or even 32 but do the same concept, to clarify multiple boxing matches would be happening at the same time so it wouldn’t be too long of a wait and would be pretty fun imo
