Let's talk about mobility and how it hurts Apex Legends' balancing

I have talked about already how Legends like Octane are currently way too overused. I want to cover the main aspect of the problem though. The core, if you will.

Mobility is a powerful tool in a lot of shooter games already. If you have great mobility, chances are you will survive a lot more or catch a lot more people. Ideally both. You're already given a good bunch of mobility from the base game. You can crouch-jump to gain a lot of speed, you can use zip-lines to cover great distances in a shorter time. If you abuse the game engine enough, you can maintain momentum even while using items, take sharp turns mid-air or straight up wall-jump. The game provides you with a great amount of mobility from the core.

We further push mobility by making certain legends create zip-lines, be super-fast with little to no cooldown, give them the ability to even fly, grapple or jump really high. For aggressive players who just want to farm kills, that's the perfect choice. You allow them to avoid deaths while being able to farm kills more efficiently by traversing the area much quicker. Plus, smaller hitboxes paired with higher speeds is just god-tier advantages.

Together with the mobility, we also have the following:

- You maintain pinpoint accuracy even during the most erratic movement. (unrealistic, but okay)

- We have weapon types that make your general speed even more beneficial (SMG-type weapons. Paired with statement 1, you have a beast of a weapon)

- We provide usually inaccessible terrain areas which only very little Legends can reach (Pathfinder, Valkyrie, Loba and Octane)

You can clearly notice the difference. You will survive a lot more and have more chances if you use a Legend like Pathfinder, Octane or Valkyrie. This had been my primary focus, and has been the reason why I have been using a more or less neutral Legend in BR/Arena lately (Big 'ol Fusey), and put him into comparison to Legends like Pathfinder. Well, the results speak for themselves. The ability to clutch fights with Pathfinder is superior to those of a Fuse. Plus-minus aiming.

We technically have a fix for this: Provide disadvantages for mobility. Mainly regarding accuracy with weapons. You want to be accurate with the SMG? Well, stand still. Then you get your accuracy. Want to reduce the chance of being hit? Well, pay the price of your pinpoint accuracy. It's that simple.

A long story short - We should start making mobility less relevant and decisive. I don't want to be punished for using Rampart or Kawaii Wattson.
