@JiboTVI just added the streamer part because I’ve watched streamers saying they want to give us a great viewing experience but its hard against players of similar skill level
I see your point about no longer being able to play with your friends, alot of people are saying that
I also see the view where this wasn’t really much a problem in the past either I mean occasionally you would just get wrecked by a premade squad of predators but it didnt happen every single match
I’m not really a new player I’ve played since Season 1 but I never botherred with rank decides alittle when it first came out also I can also only play about half the week and use a controller with no aim assist like on console so not much of a match against higher rank players with mouse/keyboard I think this is why I enjoy SBMM alittle more it maybe the lower end to average end of the SBMM spectrum but the matches are in no means ‘’easy’’ either the opponents are sometimes below my skill level but other times far above it as well I still see players with 7-8k kills as champions
Im a pretty pessimistic person so I just see things in black/white naturally I just feel like its pretty hard to find a sweet spot in SBMM in its current state to make everyone happy

Yup agree completely with this I'm done playing. I've sat through all the bugs, all the hours of grinding to get better and all the rough patches this game has gone through. I feel that I've been robbed of my time and money I've spent. All you developers care about is money. Just trying to figure out a way to get as many people to play the game and spend money as you can. It's ruined my experience. It's tragic that such a good game can be ruined so fast. I get stomped on every game now just so you guys can gather a bunch of noobs and make the experience better for only them I have 3 choices right now: ranked, casual ranked or just not to play at all I'm choosing the third I'm over it.

@bball1112Fortnite has a Christmas event
- 6 years ago@RwFinfrock and it includes one free gift (emote/skin/glider/ect.) a day as part of the days of Christmas or whatever. It brought me back but I still hop on Apex for my dailies as I paid for the pass and want me rewards.
It's insane though and I hope Apex does something similar.

I appreciated this game and understood changes took time when I was dealing with the severe hitbox issues pathfinder had during season 1-2. I am unsure if the experience I am having is intentional with the developers being silent, I'd like to believe it is not and that the developers will provide changes to the SBMM. I just hope they bring something close to the changes I requested, but if not, I'd like if they explained why they took a different route.
I think this is a problem that we are experiencing which scales up, the more people get better, the more they might realize that SBMM isn't so sustainable currently. I think it would be a lot more apparent to those that solo queue. Anyways, thanks for your response and perspective!

The game isn't fun anymore with this SBMM. I would like to play casual games just to chill. I don't play as much as I used to, been in the game from season 1. Now I just want to play couple of hours per week to relax, but I get matched against predators (despite that I'm just an average dia). Also my skill is not what it used to be - there's a difference if someone plays couple hours per day or per week, the MM does not take that into account. Another point, I can't play with my friend who is a lot weaker, we lose 100% each game. It's broken in this state. I thought Ranked games are for skill based sweaty play?!

Man, just when I thought there couldn't be more helpful insights. That is a new perspective I did not think of right away. I agree, it doesn't feel like it takes playtime into account very much at all, I say that as someone who occasionally takes breaks from Apex infrequently. You also echo previous sentiments I and others have shared about being unable to play with friends at lower skill levels, I agree. Thanks for your perspective and helpful insights.

Hey @JiboTV I've looked at this thread since the very start and I must tip my hat to you. You Had to repeat yourself numerous times, something I would not have the patience for 😉 ! Regardless, this thread is about SBMM. I am an Apex Predator,#10,824 on XB1,K/d 1.41(Just so you can get an idea of the range im at in Apex). To start , I've started playing apex towards the end of season 2,at the start of the Voidwalker event. I don't know if SBMM was implemented during that time, but there was a post earlier that mentioned that the had a small chance of killing a squad, that was how it was for me. The matches I would get would consist of me being matched with people who carried me or the opposite and a win would ALMOST certainly mean that the next match , I would be melted immediately. I would say that the SBMM then( If it exisisted then) was fair.I would win some, but lose the most and would be going against people of my skill range, but most seemingly better than me. And even though I would get it handed to me, Apex was still a very fun and challenging game.Enter season 3 and things get really black and white. By the time this season started I was on the up and up in terms and skill and was able to hold my own against squads by myself and would be able to take out multiple squads in one match alone. Then out of nowhere I would be put into lobbies and get absolutely smashed, along with my teammates from teams that were extremely coordinated,so much so that they would be able to wipe my teams(for ex. all of us are purple.) within 10 seconds. After like 3-6 matches of that,I would get lobbies that are "fun"(fun being that my squad isnt creamed by any other squad in the firstt 20 seconds of the game and we actually get a chance to shoot back at the other squads ).Just for me to go back to lobbies that were extremely coordninated and get melted. I went to ranked for a big bit ,got stuck in plat for a big bit in the season, and eventually got to diamond, then pred. And my expierience is that ranked is the way I bellieve that Sbmm works as intended because althought those matches were challenging yet exciting ,like the later part of season 2 for me. But, regular matches are almost unplayable for me because everyone who I play against are diamond/pred level and are in pre-made squads.I can't even play with my friends because they are in plat range and can't handle people of my skill level, espcially if they are coordinated. And I believe a lot of people in this thread and who play this game, understand how exhausting it is if you are a solo queuing predator.I dont want to stomp on noobs,I'm just looking for matches where I can have fun and not have to tryhard every game.I agree with how you feel about SBMM,I son't want it to be turned off because of newcomers, but its current state, its not fun for the people who are skilled at the game and like you said in your first post ,we get punished for getting better at the game."Get better or die." sums it up quite well.Sorry for the longwinded post,Keep doing what your doing, because you actually got me to join the discussion via how you approached it.

Keep feeding the 5% respawn and your game will continue to die. No one in their right mind would play this game in a world that these whiney predators want created.
they’d be straight morons to want to and enjoy playing against guys with 1000+ hours, you have to be a true idiot to think that’s ever going to exist.
this is why people cheat - to ruin games for people with your mind sets.
i hope cheaters destroy this game. It’s already on a decline.
edit: or. do something easy. Put a settings option that toggles SBMM on or off - let those who want to be used at ttv entertainment - be that.
and those of us that want to have fun - actually have fun, because this game with no sbmm or even the current sbmm is not fun and you’re bleeding users now. - 6 years ago
It's not hard at all to find a sweet spot, pit equally skilled people against equally skilled people. It's that simple.
- 5 years ago@FaIIenAngeI777 If you playing using a controller with out aim assist you are not going to have a fun time. Its almost impossible play without aim assist on console I would imagine even more so on pc unless you have a razor controller with agile and focus.
