@Flashshark1980The games unplayable for me now, I can’t even do 100-200 damage in 90% of my games. i was like you but (alittle better some games) I averaged 3-5 kills and won every now and then sometimes 3-4 wins a night (I play along time not just a few hours)
I’m not sure what actually happended for me to end up where I’m at, I had one game where I did really good in the final 3 and got 7 kills and got the apex predator badge on lifeline but that was luck and strategy, and I think 3 weeks ago I did a similiar game as Gibralter I finished with 9 kills and won as kill leader, but Im not a player that can just chase people down and kill them I always get wrecked it just isn’t my thing I get games where everything just feels great and i just go for the kills but thats rare Im more of one of those wattsons that would prefer to hide at the edge of the map if I had the chance lmao I just suck at fighting in general unless I have weapons Im comfortable with landing my shots with I hate when my teamates are players that just want to chase people down because sometimes Im very helpful and othertimes they rush in and die and I just look like a fool if I cant 1 vs 3 by myself ._.
Note: ive played the new event mode alot, people were very clueless and still are of how to correctly play it so I get champion every single round almost if that has anything to do with why SBMM made pubs impossible for me now also I was level 125-135 ish now almost 173 whatever the case The games unplayable for me now Im not a pro by any means I wouldn’t even say Im mediocre half the time I just watch alot of yt so know the correct things to do, high ground, use cover, crouch, slide, jump etc in fights (sometimes i get too caught up in the movement I screw up my aim), jumping up above the zip lines to avoid shots, ive tried B hopping but idk if I do it right, anyways If I see staycation or other people doing it I try to do it but I just can’t play in whatever lobby im in now I guess im gonna have to just hide all my trackers and badges so people won’t know anything and assume if your good or bad, like before matches people just see i got 11 wins on gibby and the kill leader badge and I got that iron crown skin so they sometimes expect me to be a god gibby or some crap when your with (lower levels) but I can’t promise if I will be good or bad some games I do great but most of the time nah Im trash depends on the location, teammates, opponents, etc too many random factors as it is now when everyones your skill level and sniping you with a g7 from every direction and not missing a single shot the games unplayable

I really wonder! If you play so bad, don't get kills and do only 100 dmg, why you get not ranked lower by the MM?
If your K/D is bad and your hit perceantage you get autmatically to a lower level.
You dont stay on high level!

At some point it has to get better.
Actually I really believe you get a slight reset every single day!
Thats why I get my first win in match 1-3 of my session.
MAybe you should be glad about 1 win per day, 2 wins are allready awesome.
And if there are no wins but some 2nd and 3rd places its ok too.
In the other seasons I had 2-3 wins per week!
If SBMM is so bad, why is it not bad for me?
@Flashshark1980Man, why do you not understand? Many people are getting in PRO lobbies while they are not PRO and get destroyed! Why you dont understand when everyone is complaining mostly there is a problem with the system!
It doesnt reset per day, it only reset after event update. I won 2 games and i am back with PRO s again!
Its not bad for you because you are too bad(among the general players, so it keeps you there). You are lvl 123 and if you are stuck at Silver 4(as you say) i dont really know what you did with your time, this is not based on skill or something.. You played around 200hours i am guessing and you are telling me you are stuck on Silver4.. But if you improve a bit you will get frustrated. Thats the deal, if you are not very bad you get thrown into lobbies full of pros or full time streamers.P.s: i have 100+ wins and after Sbmm i got 5, 6 :D
Another duo session, this time with a different friend.
Session ended early, neither of us enjoyed it.
Sweaty game after sweaty game; in both Casual & the Xmas Event.
If the intent of SBMM is to drive away players who've been active since the beginning, then good job Respawn, you've succeeded.
The way I see it, is that there'll always be a small group of try-hard pro players far above everyone else; unfun to play against.
Without SBMM, the "burden" of these players is spread among the entire game's population.
With SBMM, this burden is now carried solely by the 2% Diamond-tier.
As has been demonstrated by ranked; it simply isn't sustainable and will result in a cascade of abandonment.
It'll begin with the diamond-tier population gradually abandoning the game.
After that, the burden will progressively fall upon the plat-tier players. (though with an even larger skill gap!).
SBMM will hasten the death of the game's population.

@TheJumpingJawaI agree ive never done ranked much but did til gold when it first came out because I wanted the badge to match the R-301 I feel like I would probally fall into higher gold lower to mid plat area if I did try it i feel like im getting matched with diamond/predators after SBMM and I can’t enjoy the game anymore I enjoyed SBMM last week but after the xmas update something changed and now everyones way beyond my skill level ive got a hell of alot of wins (as champion) in the new event mode if that has anything to do with it atleast 15-25 ish idk if those wins upped my rank or not but I just know it was fine before the xmas update then i didnt do pubs for days I just grinded the xmas event first night i got to 19/75 the badge is now 63/75 im gonna finish it on wednesday night anyways after 3 days at the event i went back to pubs to see all these players with 50-250+ Season 3 wins -.- like tf and thousands of kills the games unplayable now and thats all I know
those 50-250 wins are on 1 character... I dont even have 50 yet with all my characters combined, im close 44/50 but its the point I can’t compete with these players then they all got 20 kill badges 4k damage badges and i dont even have a 2k badge i only have 2 of those apex predator win as kill leader badges

What you say is reflected in the experience of not just diamond+ players, but also by platinum level players as well from what I have seen. It seems like gold tier players tend not to experience things as badly at the SBMM ranking they are at in casual matches. They do still feel the effect of being matched against tougher opponents that I've seen, but it is better exhibited for the people who play more overall. A top-down draining of the players that do play this game a lot is something I hope does not occur but may given how things are.
I appreciate your analysis and response in this discussion on the current state of SBMM.
