As I understand, it's not fair for you because you want to keep shooting some noobs head, as well as it's not fair for them to keep getting killed by you.
The point of the skill-based matchmaking system, if they've done it correctly then we should be matched with similar skill players and always have a 50% chance to win the fight or die.
Another idea is we should have some what 50% chance winning or lose, so technically we should be matched against higher skill players if we perform well and be matched against lower skill players if we not performing well.
I think this is also another way they use to solve the cheating problems, if they take players' accuracy into account then cheaters should be matched against other cheaters because of their very high accuracy.
The problem is if they not make it correctly, a very high skilled player could be stuck playing with cheaters (or the cheaters complaining they're not having fun anymore).
I'm currently in Diamond Rank not even in Predator but I found my self in the same problem as you. It depends on who am I playing with, If I play with friends who have a high skill level, sometimes Unranked Matchmaking feels even more competitive than a Ranked match itself but If I play with low skilled friends, it seems pretty balance for me.
Anyway, I notice that the game needs a couple of matches to adjust the balance.
So for me, I guess SBMM is the way to go but they have to do it right that's all.

I have dismissed arguments like this time and time again in this post. What do you see when I make this post and see I am a predator? Apparently someone who just wants to "Keep shooting noobs in the head.". If you come to that conclusion after everything I have said, I do not think you've read my post. I want to preserve the newest players experience as I mentioned (And attempted to provide a solution to that.) in my original post, but I also want casual games to feel not very much at all like ranked games. I want to be able to play with my friends again because they cannot contribute in lobbies at my rank on average. I would like to solo queue, but have you tried solo queuing in diamond or predator ranked matches? I encourage you to see how high you can rank up in the 'ranked mode' on your own merit, then keep playing in the ranked mode. That is the experience casual lobbies are for me and inevitably will be for others too, you are constantly playing ranked and your MMR keeps adjusting to put you with others of a similar rank. I epitomize this in my original post to "You get better or just die.".
I think you and I are on two different planes if you could not understand how or why I want things changed or took my post in part the way you did. Take a look at some of the earlier responses saying almost word for word what you wrote, I responded in detail to them as well. Beyond that, you seem to be oversimplifying SBMM with your 50% idea and your understanding of how the MMR works. I am unsure how much of your hidden MMR within SBMM is based around your actual ranked placement, I mention these things for reference to guide people into understanding my position.
I do not think that is how cheaters work, but I think that's a discussion for another thread. I do not feel like I run into cheaters in an unusual amount and it seems like they come in waves if they do. My point in making this post is not to reject the idea of SBMM, it is to provide feedback on the current state of SBMM.
