Either:
- The system doesn't know how to place you properly yet
- There aren't enough new players in your region
If it's the first case then you'll have to just play more and hope the system will be able to see where you should be placed.
Though I'd recommend switching datacenters in the hope of finding more new players to queue you with.

It might be best to take a break if the game isn't able to place you properly.
A week or so might make it so the system will look differently and your games might get better.
Otherwise getting into a premade squad or playing on an alt account could provide satisfactory results.
- 2 years ago@XHelperZ Because fixing the problem isn't as good as somehow saying the player is at fault. Got it.

I'm not saying it's the fault of the player, though bad matchups can definitely be fixed by certain methods, which I'm providing.
I am well aware that the current matchmaking system isn't that great, it really does need to be adjusted in many ways.
Though for newer accounts it can be a bit more tricky as there isn't a lot of data to work with, which could result in different problems.
I'm just providing workarounds that could help at the moment, if it's possible that these things could fix it then I think it's definitely worth a shot.
