Leveling up the Evo armor should depend more on damage and kills/assists

At the current state it's to easy to level up by collecting Evo harvesters and doing Class iteractions like scanning beacons, scanning care packages etc. They need to lower down the Evo points earned through non fighting events across the board and make it more dependant on damage and kills/assists.

At the current state they're promoting passive play, campers and loot goblins and that's always a bad thign to do. You should EARN yourself the Evo shield.

  • have you played the 3past season ? if anything there's waaaaaay less rats/loots goblin.
    evo points system looks fine as it is.

  • @CroL0co The rats were very common in S17 due to the easy rank system. Since then there's been a lot less rats. I haven't had a single one in S18 and S19 camp in areas where no one can really find them or they otherwise run off to hid

    That's a good thing.

    Being passive and a loot goblin isn't exactly a bad thing either. If all you're doing is playing casually, you're going to get killed.

    Also, have you heard what Conduit says when she pings items? "There's an <Item> here. You're only as good as your gear... and skill"

    A loot goblin or a rat in red evo is only as good as a Mad Maggie drill misfired straight down into the floor, and I'm mainly talking about a solo player. A full squad in red armor isn't exactly a fight you can win easily.

    I haven't been in S20 ranked yet, so I don't know how bad the ratting is for this season yet. I recommend giving it a few weeks before you try grinding it, so all the sweats are out of the lower lobbies. Which would only be good until a cheater storms through. I have no idea why they lowered the level requirement from 50 down to 20 either.

    The biggest issue I've been having since S18, is bots, cheaters, and smurfs.

    It's not only about ratting. Players should earn their Evo, it should be a reward that makes a difference in the game. Atm a blindfolded monkey can get a purple evo, that's just wrong.

    @CroL0co I understand what you're saying, however currently its not that bad.

    From what I've seen, the following actions gets you these points:

    Class Perk - 50
    Revive - 150 per teammate
    Respawn - 150 per teammate
    Evo Harvesters - 350, If I recall correctly, and besides, they're locked until round 1 closes

    The only thing I'd change is to make class perks, reviving, and respawning not give everyone points.

    I've noticed that when I get revived or respawned, or a random brings back the other, or either uses their class perk, I see it pop up on my screen, saying I got points for doing absolutely nothing.

    Sure, its teamwork, but that can easily get exploited, especially when its 2 Skirmishers, (one being Pathfinder), where one scans both packages, and then Pathfinder rescans them. Then one gets constantly knocked, while the other revives, raising the team's shield level.

    @Midnight9746 I would make Evo harvesters give 50 evo points and lower points to evolve to 200, 400, 600.
    Evo system was balanced before it is ridiculous to change it with magic harvesters.

    @Palette24carats and I've just checked, Evo Harvesters do give 350, but they are active when ring 1's countdown begins, before it starts closing. That's too soon for them to be active. There's also other things that gives your team evo points as well that really shouldn't.

    Also the sound effect an animation of the harvester's activation is too loud and distracting.

    Other than that, I don't have a problem with the new system.

    It's not that I don't like the system, it's very good actually. They just need to tone down the numbers.

    For example the 350 points for just collecting the Harvester on teh map is too much for how easy it's to do it. It should be max 200 points.

    Also the respawn and revive bonus is too much, it should be 50 max.

    This would be a start in my opinion.
