Bro you can write an ese on the topic, but you are just taking your side of the thing.
You are getting a LP removed, and Lifeline is the smallest legend atm, which is a HUGE + in this game. Her strafing animation is super to all but Wraith.
You are getting 60% increase in healing in your drone, which will be the next OP thing. This pretty much gives you a Phoenix kit for half the time, and on top of that you are safe to a 1-2 shots that can knock you, when you pop battery, cause your HP will start regenerate straight away when you pop the drone ...
The auto-revive mechanics was a terrible idea and pissed so many people, and i know many people that quit the game cause of it.
I think there is no need to give ShivFPS video slamming Lifeline auto-revive again, or i should?
Auto-revive is ridiculous, it put the pressure on the wrong team, it take the rightful owner of the kill, and its an ability that require no skill at all, and a spammable one.
As far as nades goes, 99% of the people are using nades to engage. So the time someone is down, no one will have nades. Next thing is you got to place a perfect nade to stop the revive, so you can just spam the Q again, unless you somehow do full damage to kill.
You are open to Lifeline shooting you, by going in and out(another ridiculous thing) through the shield.
This ability was just a bad design. They were speaking about rewarding positioning and do such ridiculous thing(as many others).
How is a spammable ability, that anyone use straight at the open infront of 2-3 squads is a rewarding positioning?
Revive should be done at the right time and with a bit of brain, not straight up in the open, and safe you, cause of absolutely bad design mechanics.
It also stretch the fights by a bit, by the absolutely wrong way, and it makes the team that get knock, way more prone to getting third party, and actually punish them for actually getting the upper hand by doing a knock.
Getting an ally down should put the pressure and play on your team, not on the team that do the damage. And you should look to do damage and push the enemy back and in that time to res on good spot, not just pop it off wherever it is, cause i`m getting an auto-rev and a shield to go in and out to snipe opponents.
Also in a situation where you trade knocks, the Lifeline team automatically wins. Lifeline team automatically wins if its early game with limited ammo/heals.
But the right nerf was, to just remove the Auto-revive, and left the Shield, just like her previous passive.
Still Lifeline will be miles better with the new rework, cause its rework, not a nerf. And to be fair its an actual huge buff, removing LP, better CP, and insane TOP tactical.
I still think there is room to meet in the middle between both sides of this argument. Thank you to everyone who informed me they’ll be getting rid of LP; this does change my stance a bit.
I know many people have brought up that auto-res was a bad idea overall, but as someone who got straight bullied in prior seasons, I have to disagree. Her previous res made her a sitting duck (like everyone else, of course), so when the auto-res was introduced it changed the dynamic. I also thought it made perfect sense since she was advertised this way in the beginning, and the fact that she is the healer so she should have some kind of perk. When you have legends like Mirage who can become invisible while res-ing or Gibraltar who had/has faster revives in his shield, the “get into the battle” aspect helped set her apart and really brought her up as a legend.
I would be okay with the previous res capabilities that she had, since toward the end learning how to quickly use the shield and then go into the fight became more fun 😅. But I still think they should pause on this rework and really pay attention to other legends. Let the fanbase hash it out and allow the devs to find a better nerf/buff that really addresses the problems we’ve had with Lifeline since the beginning.
Also, thank you for being so civil with your post. I’ve seen other discussions based on this topic and it’s a nightmare.

Also, thank you for being so civil with your post. I’ve seen other discussions based on this topic and it’s a nightmare.As far as Mirage and GIbraltar revive i still keep my stance. Nothing should mess with revive mechanics, and will help players get revived faster or safer. So Gibraltar revive should be removed, as well as Mirage invisible stuff. But on Mirage case, its pretty laud, and there is no way you can miss it.
And i kinda disagree that her previous passive/revive was not good. It was perfect. She had fast heal as well, and this was huge advantage. Having a shield to revive allow you to do it in the open or behind cover or so with way more safety for you and for your teammate, and when you see someone that will come to interrupt, you can just cancel the revive and start shooting, without being in danger, which is exactly the opposite if you don`t have the shield, you will get beamed and both of you would be dead.
Also you can quickly revive someone that was being down in the open from long range, and the enemy team is pushing. And you got a shield to cover and a clear look to what happen.
For me no one should be awarded with bad and unfair mechanics for their flaws. I mean you get knocked down, its on your team to do the play and to be on the pressure.
At the end of the day this is a FPS, and killing is one of the most important aspects. When i kill someone i like him that way, not being saved by ridiculous mechanics or my ally who has done nothing whole game, to steal my kills with just doing 20 damage to revived enemy.
Revive should be used with brain. What i mean with that is to know the right timing to do the revive, and will it be in time, before the enemy team come/push or so. Its kinda require a skill and knowledge when to do it the right and the safe way.
Unlike what it is with the auto-revive.

And btw i have always said that Lifeline should have stayed with the old passive. They didn`t wanna the fast heals in the game and remove it, i`m ok with that, but they should have just improved the tactical and totally rework the CP, cause will always be BAD, unless its start giving me a red weapons, like PK, Prowler and Kraber. :D

- 5 years ago@LordloshBang Yeah, by the time you have to wait 360 seconds (6 mins) for the care package, you almost always have purple armor across the board. The only thing you’re getting out of it is two shield cells and a syringe... Red weapons would be nice
