Lifeline revive is OP now, getting downed should be disadvantage and revive risk

I am 280 level in game, played Lifeline the most, and didn't play for 6 months. Started the other day, but I think lifeline revive is really too strong, she never was weak, always good to have because how much it can help team, but now its way too imporant.

I don't know why she gets shield, plus auto revive. All this makes it op because she can fight, have nice cover and still revive his mates.

Why can't she have only one, not both? Either:

Drone auto revive but she can fight and have cooldown on robot, no shield. Let her teammate get in cover first, we have knockdown shiled for a reason

OR

Let her revive, cant fight but have a nice shield like before.

Your teammate getting knocked down should punish you, it should make you at huge disadvantage. It means you guys are losing the fight, but with lifeline. This disadvantage is neglected, it actually can punish team that should be rewarded for "downing" the opponent. Plus she can just spam her drones around. Action like reviving should have huge risk-reward to it, with lifeline it have 0 risk and 100% reward.

If someone think others are better medics or revivers, or thinks she is not good enough. There is other way of making her better. She can get buff in ult to get better items, to heal herself fast, to make drone follow her our if she wants and heal teammates.

Also you can remove fast revive under Gibby shield if he is better reviver. A lot of things can be adjusted, but changing revive mechanic is not good and never is. It is one of core gameplay mecahnics.
Downed should mean enemy team is better and gained advantage, they can push now. But right now, that ruined.

  • I'm OK with how Lifeline is currently.

She is strong, as I always would prefer to have a Lifeline.

But I would not call it OP, because grenades exist, and you can still push when she is reviving, the down player does not get back up with full heath.

Lifelines revive is sure OP in some situations, but same can be said about ALL legends in the right situation. How "OP" isnt it to be able to move the entire team from a cover to another cover with no danger what so ever (Wraith)? Or move the team to elevated positions where some legends wont be able to reach (Pathfinder, Horizon, Octane) etc etc etc

And I dont think you have though it through if you think there are no "negative" sides to Lifelines revive. The most obvious one is ofc that it will leave the downed player totally open for a quick execution for any enemy expect the ones right in front of them, rendering his knockdown shield totally useless.  A bad Lifeline will hurry to his downed teammates aid and just start a revive in a bad spot and actually effectively kill his teammate who otherwise would have lived and maybe be able to crawl to safety with his knockdown shield.

But there is also ofc the 0.5 seconds when you start the revive when you the lifeline is stuck in the animation. A good enemy player will predict the revive and immediately rush up close to the lifeline and finish her off mid-animation. The visual and auditory effects will ofc also draw alot of attention and may result in multiple fighting teams focusing on the Lifeline and the downed teammate.

And I hope you know that one hit on the drone will cancel the revive, and the drone in exposed from quite a wide angle. When the revive starts, just move to the side and shoot the drone
