Apex Legends has discontinued support for Linux and Steamdeck, wich seems like a hail mary attack to stop the cheaters,
Because cheaters using linux for the most "nasty" cheats shouldnt be an excuse to exile everyone on linux, Windows wouldnt be excluded if all cheater's were on windows only.
Sacrificing the real legit Linux users to attempting to stop the cheating in Apex Legends seems like an easy solution that is not fair. I feel like EA/respawn doesn't have their priorites straight, and should tackle the issue by its core. What Respawn has down now is cut of 1 head of the hydra what probally make 3 new heads grow in the place. Cheaters will find other ways to cheat and Legit users have to pay the price again. For all the Linux user's i made a petition maybe we can make respawn change their mind:

- @Cubuss Hey there, EA nor Respawn have ever supported linux. This operating system is not used for apex. The only reason it had seen updates is due to steam decks default operating system coming as linux. Now that they can have windows put on them there is no need for linux anymore.
So when you see updates be made it was purely for the steam deck and nothing more. It was not to support that operating system in general but to support steam decks operating system at that time.@E9ine_AC
They literately stated that the reason they discontinue support for linux is cause of the cheaters and not cause of the steamdeck having the ability to install windows now,

So that theory is wrong. The support was for steam decks not linux's operating system. Which was never was supposed to be used in the first place with apex.
Keep in mind since the games launch when you go to any website or game provider and look up the games specs since day 1 of apexs launch its always stated and only stated Windows operating system. If they supported linux in any form then the operating system would of been added to all those sites/launchers list of supported OS.
- @E9ine_AC Installing Windows on the Steam Deck cripples the experience. We need Linux support for the Steam Deck.
