List of Suggestions After 300+ games

After playing over 300 games on XBOX, here is the list of suggestions I have compiled for the devs.

  1. Add a way to stay with the same team after a matchmaking session.
  2. Add an easy way to invite your matchmaking squad to an XBOX or PS4 party before the match starts. 
  3. Add an easy way to see the XBOX or PS4 profiles of your current teammates, or of the teammates from your last match, so you can add them as friends if they’re good or easily block them if they’re toxic. Even better would be if you could pull up a list of your last 10 matches and see who your teammates were on all of them, then see those folks’ profiles. 
  4. Matchmaking should try to put you onto teams with your friends, if available. Make a matchmaking option to “filter: group of friends” so that the game won’t put you in a match until it finds three people (including you) where each person will have at least one friend on the team. There should also be an option to “filter: only friends” that would place you on a team with two people who are both your friends. It should try to do this anyway by default, even if the filter is off, at least for the first 20 sec. or so.
  5. Make a “firing range” mode that is like Training mode but without the tutorial. In this mode if you use ping to request a gun upgrade, it would automatically spawn the full range of mods for you to play with. Same with ammo (in case you’re not standing by the ammo spawn area).
  6. Make an “exploration” mode where you and up to two friends can just explore the map without any circle closing on you. The loot pattern should be reflective of a normal loot setting. Ideally you could also re-drop to anywhere on the map at any time. In this mode, requesting ammo, guns, and items should work like it does in my “firing range” suggestion above.
  7. Make a “practice against bots” mode that works whilst offline. Sometimes it’s nice to practice shooting. 
  8. Don’t “rebalance” gun damage or armor etc. over time because .01% of players (the vocal ones) will just manipulate you by whining. I say, keep it the same just add new guns over time. Because it actually makes no sense at all for an existing weapon to suddenly start behaving differently. The only exception would be if an item that nobody uses needs a slight buff. 
  9. Allow full controller remapping. Not everyone has an Elite Controller. 
  10. Add an option for Auto-Sprint so that the maximum forwards tilt of Left Stick results in sprinting, and then Left Stick Click can be remapped to something else (whatever the player might want).
  11. Don’t put people into a game without a full squad. Many times I have been put into a game on a two-man team, and sometimes it was just me! 
  12. Let new players join mid-game to sub in for people who got disconnected or quit before dying. If a teammate DCs whilst alive, sub in a new random player to take over for them and provide the previous player’s accumulated XP as a bonus for players who sub in mid-match.
  13. Let new players join mid-game to sub in for people who quit after dying but before their banner has expired. If someone quits early, the gamertag/name on the banner and death box would change to say “Awaiting New Owner.” Then, if that team recovers their banner and activates the respawn beacon, a new player from the Substitute Que would drop in to carry on with that team. The previous player’s loot box would be highlighted on the map. Of course, give an appropriate time to allow a team to recover the banner from a teammate who quit. 
  14. Loot boxes should be locked to your own team by default. If you want your team to be able to loot that box then a prompt should appear allowing you to grant access. 
  15. Loot boxes should be locked to everyone on all teams until the whole squad (whose loot it was) is dead. This would help the game in two ways. Firstly it would stop people on your team from looting before at least finishing off the enemy team (it’s hhard to hear the “We just dusted an entire squad” character dialogue; sometimes it gets interrupted by pings or just doesn’t play at all, and teammates without mics have no way to communicate that a given team still has members alive or tell their team to not loot yet. Secondly, it would mean that getting killed did not result in respawning with crappy loot, which is usually a death sentence for you and your team in late game situations. It really sucks to FINALLY get a good shield only to lose it from getting third-partied and then respawn with no loot and four teams left—you take a risk and run out of the circle to get back the good gun you finally found, only to discover your loot box is empty. Then when you come back to your team someone mercs you with your own gun. 
  16. Respawn drop-ship should let you tell it where to drop you back off.
  17. You should be able to keep climbing to any height. First off, it’s dumb that you suddenly lose yr grip after a certain amount of climbing. Why? If I can climb 10 feet why not 20? What invisible force is knocking me down off walls and rocks...? Second, twice I have died from getting stuck in a spot where the only way out was to climb out—once when I ballooned into a hole in the cliffs near Bridges, and once when the final circle closed around my team cutting off all passable escape routes (we desperately tried to scale the cliff but we kept falling off; then we tried running around into the storm but it killed us super fast).
  18. High-tier loot areas should always have some high-tier shields, at the very least. 15 games in a row of hot-dropping into busy high-tier loot areas and not ONCE did I get a blue or purple shield all game. At least allow combining two whites to make a blue and two blues to make a purple, or something.
  19. Give the Mozambique six rounds for Chrissake!
  20. Show loot tier on the drop map.
  21. Randomize who gets to be jumpmaster on non-premade teams.
  22. Let premade teams designate a permanent jumpmaster.
  23. Let players change their character selection at any point up to the end of the final player’s timer. Why not...? 
  24. At least drop everyone in with a P2020 and a clip. Half my deaths are simply due to the crappy loot distribution rewarding luck over skill in the initial seconds of the game.
  25. Give full kill credit to each player who contributed damage. Currently the formula makes zero sense. I’m tired of doing 1500+ damage and having zero kills while someone else on my team has 320 damage and nine kills. Like seriously... it’s stupid.
  26. Let me throw my gun to deal damage if it’s out of ammo. 
  27. Allow fixing a grenade to a zipline.
  28. Thermite thrown onto ammo boxes, unlooted grenades, or loot boxes should set off that ordinance causing increased damage to nearby players. It should also destroy any items in loot boxes or unlooted items after 5 seconds, so you could use thermite to prevent another team from getting that stuff.
  29. Standing in thermite longer than 3 seconds should set off ammo and grenades in a player’s inventory, dealing damage to them directly.
  30. There should be a way to sever a zipline once it’s been deployed.
  31. Caustic’s gas traps need a major buff.
  32. There needs to be a midrange digital threat scope in the 2x-4x range.
  33. Gold full auto mod for Eva-8 plox!
  34. Add more communication options, like, “Group Up,” “Don’t Go Here,” “Stay Quiet,” etc. 
  35. Enemy position callouts on the minimap should fade over time into a red cloud that indicates where they might be by now.

  • Here’s another suggestion.

    Force recoil pattern to happen no matter what

    the player does.

    And implement anti-cheat stuff on XBOX to block things like CronusMax and XIM.
