It's an extremely transparent system. It tells you your chances of getting certain grade items, also there is a bad luck adjustment. Also the loot boxes are just like Overwatch, completely 100% cosmetic.
Please do a little bit of research and don't spam the feedback section where devs are trying to find actual feedback.
i know what they are and how they function - its lootboxes and its gambling and my feedback is to get rid of the gambling - showing the odds doesnt make gambling better, getting only cosmetics doesn't make gambling better, other games having the same gambling mechanics doesn't make gambling better
there is enough people and even states who start fighting against these and for me this ruins the otherwise fun game
So cosmetics ruins the game.. Please
nope lootboxes do
i can't understand how gamers actually defend lootboxes...
they could easily sell cosmetics directly and i'd buy em- marketing strategy
Don't buy them. Easy.
The only way that I would have a problem with loot box's is if it directly effects the game itself; Pay 2 win. Also its easy to just not buy them. Ive played Overwatch since beta and have not bought a single loot box.
Correction, people like you ruin the game not “gambling”. It 100% doesn’t effect you if you don’t buy them. They allow the game to be free to play and that brings in players. I think of it as a reward for supporting a game I choose to play.
And again. You do not need lootboxes to support a game and make it f2p
selling the vanity directly is working just as fine but without the gambling
there is no reason for lootboxes except greed
Are you actually defending lootboxes and pretend they are a good thing?
wth is wrong with you shilling so hard?
I entirely agree; I think loot boxes which can be purchased with IRL currency have no place in any game, ever. Just because you know the odds of a horse race does not mean betting on it is not classified as gambling. The whole premise of a loot box is they give you a chance at unlocking something that is higher value than what you spent on the loot box itself. That's the very definition of gambling.
The removal of the ability to purchase loot boxes would mean revenue could still be generated from players purchasing cosmetics from the store rotation, as well as the upcoming battlepass. I have no problem with loot boxes earned from gameplay.
>"Correction, people like you ruin the game not “gambling”."
Correction: If he does not play the game, there's no way he can 'ruin the game'. Hyperbole has no place in a rational debate.
In all honesty, OP, don't let the gambling thing get in the way of you enjoying a solid game. We can voice our opinions and vote with our wallets, but boycotting a free game sends no message to the publishers and only you, yourself, miss out.
