Giving it an extended mag and a barrel stabilizer next season? It already has braindead recoil, double damage headshots, and the projectiles are big enough to clip enemy heads even if your aim is off a bit. Imma predict it: People are about to have a real bad time between this gun and the prowler next season.

The state of arenas ranked is really bad right now. Aside from the point system being really bad and rigged, I'd like to suggest for the L-star to be removed from ranked arenas completely. 90% of all the people I face all use l-stars. The pick rate on the l-star is out of hand right now in arenas and is affecting arenas a lot. There is no diversity of weapons that people play with, specially in high tier rank. And on top of that the l-star is very broken, it was broken before the buff, I really don't understand whose "bright" idea was to buff the l-star.My second suggestion is to put the l-star on the last care package, with the triple take and such.I know many players will agree with me.

How is no one talking about how absolutely broken this gun is?? It melts in an instant and I can't even see who's shooting me

@chiefthunderballHonestly I have been so distracted by how broken that Prowler is to even care about the L star... the Prowler does like 75 damage per burst (body/limb shots) so literally 2-3 bursts per kill... it needs majorly nerfed its too strong to be ground loot in its current form and everyones just running Prowler in round 1 and on in Arenas

@chiefthunderball Apex was two nerfs away (eva and spitfire) from having the most balanced weapon pool in ten seasons, but the devs decided to have a stroke and buff the lstar, add an autoscout, and make the prowler ground loot instead.

Imho there is one weapon, which should get barrel stabilizer, and it is Havoc. It is so hard to control, but such R-301 can laser people from 100 meters - on full auto. And it doesn't have single-fire mode anymore, i think that removing it was bad decision.
I hoped that L-Star would get an unique hop-up. I'll wait, perhaps something will change.🤨

I really feel like LSTAR changes make zero sense; the point of picking one up over say the Volt or Havoc is the fact that you can just pick one up and be good to go with like zero attachments, you definitely do want a stock but overall it is pretty free from the need for anything extra. And if you manage it well enough you never have to reload. Well now that it takes not only the mag but a barrel (??? Can’t imagine that looking normal on the LSTAR) you might as well just pick up the Volt! Smaller bullets and you have to reload sure but far easier to handle and quicker to use. I do not see this helping anyone pick the gun up more.

@MyName1sNotJohn Its already better than the other energy weapons imo. I think people will pick it up just to test the attachment buffs out and realize that it fries people and requires zero skill.

@MyName1sNotJohn Actually the upcoming changes make a lot of sense and you just wrote down one of the main reasons.

1. LSTAR is really powerful, it's super easy to use and you dont even need attachments, just pick one up and wipe whole squads with it, brain not needed. So I really hope they nerf the basic version so you need all the purple attachments to bring it's performance back up to S9 level.

2. Second reason why I think they are doing it is the arenas balance, LSTAR has the best power/cost ratio at the moment simply because you only need to buy the grey/white version to get full potential. Tbh I dont really care about arenas, but I can understand why would they want to change this aswell.

@PogeNoob I don’t care about arenas either I kind of don’t like that balancing has to take arenas into consideration. But we will see how these changes play out

@TinyTim6991I think the whole purpose of the barrel stabilizer on the L star is so they can nerf it to some degree but if you add stabilizers then it would make it easier to control after the nerfs, also so you can’t simply pick up a stock to have a fully kitted weapon but if thats the case then the charge rifle might aswell get a sniper mag and barrel stabilizer even though it doesn’t have a stock

@TheApexLegendNub It was a straight up buff it turns out. Lowering the vfx on the projectiles also made it's hipfire and ironsights better as well (even though its hipfire was supposed to be "nerfed" to compensate). It is now a floor loot care package gun when fully kitted.

It's even worse in Arenas. It's either lose to L-star, or use L-star.
