@yojzzxzto be honest I am more concerned about constant buffs and nerfs.
In this game, you basically can't be certain about anything - legends, guns, game mechanics etc.
I think I saw somewhere in forums an official reply from EA side (mods or something) that you just need to be able to adjust, in other words, Apex require not only sound mechanical and logical skills but also the ability to play any gun, any legend, any tactics at any given time. This is to be honest, not bad in my opinion as it lowers the risk of some players dominating the game with the same approach over and over again. See quake for example (to a certain extent, guys there do adapt as well but maybe not as much).
I have been on both sides of the L-star gang:
At first, it was fun to block everyone's vision with the old version, yet I still did not win all of the fights as I lost track of enemies as well.
Now you can actually hit it in mid/far range as I don't see a significant bullet drop if any for it - just pair it with 3x or 2-4x and you are a rapid sniper (given you can recoil control it).
Also recently people still do overpower me with 3 shoot Eva or Wingman in close range so L-star is in my hands, not an ultimate close-range weapon either.
I am pissed when I am fried from distance by it, but at the same time, I can do the same. So to be honest I would opt EA just leaving guns as they are so people can actually consistently play them instead of just 301 and Volt.
