LTM Ideas
Some of the modes we have gotten in the past, are cool and I thought about giving ideas on modes that could possibly be fun as well:
Recovery Opportunity:
Banner cards never time out; Recovering a teammate is always possible. Players who camp boxes would become visible to the team who is box they are around – this means that you should not camp boxes, however you still could. Indicator would show if you can be seen by the enemy team.
Banner Swiper:
When a player is knocked and killed, an enemy player is able to pick-up the banner card. This does not let the enemy player respawn your teammate for you. What happens is that your teammate cannot be respawned, until the enemy player holding your card is killed. Recovering teammates requires killing the person who took the banner card, who would be marked on the map as long as they hold the banner card for your teammate (Only that user, not their team). Punching users who have a banner card would cause them to drop a card and auto give it to you – it may not be your teammates though. The object of the game is to steal banner cards and win.
If your team is wiped out, all the banner cards your team collected would be dropped into the deathbox of which ever player picked up a card. You can still respawn teammates as normal, however you may be asking “what’s the use of taking enemy cards?” Special things (like the Replicators) would be around the map that requires banner cards as the currency. This means that if your teammate’s card is taken, you have to get it back before its too late. It “times out” when an enemy player uses it. To avoid one person getting too many banner cards, each player can only carry 3 cards + 2 if they are the teammate’s cards. You cannot use your teammate’s card as currency.
Switching Sides
Players you knock can be finished, once done, they would be placed onto your team with full health and shields. Their teammates would switch sides as well (will explain later). This mode would be 30 vs 30, and ends when time is up, or if one team knocks and finishes the other. Killing players would make them respawn back on their respective team. Voice and text chat is only available for your given squad – this means no mixed party chat like Shadow Fall. Reason for your full team switching sides is because players could help their teammates know where players on their new team are (either telling them in-game or through a voice app like Discord). Or this mode could be qued into solo.
Brawl
Players can only punch others – no guns are allowed. Map’s ring size would be smaller. Punch out enemy players to win. Legend abilities are locked. Basically, fight night, but on a scale that I am sure players thought it would be similar to. Players can still use grenades and healing items. Everyone spawns with Red Evo, 1 phenix kit, 1 battery, 1 med kit, 5 cells, 4 syringes.
Mix-up
Uh oh? Did Pathfinder mess up his programing again? Legend will randomly switch during the match. Every so often, you and your teammates would randomly switch legends with another random squad. Alternatively, you turn into the legend of the player you killed. If the player you killed is respawned, they respawn as your legend. (Legend skins will change to the ones the user has unlocked).
Wall Runners
Legends gain the ability to run across walls for a short time. Being shot at will shorten the wall run time. Each wall run uses up a charge (starting charge is 3), and more charges are gained by killing enemy players.
Mini-Titanfall
Randomly like care packages, Titans will fall from the sky. These Titans will be smaller than actual Titanfall Titans and will only act similar to Rampart’s Sheila – as in it will fight for the team that activates it (only one at a time) and will remain until destroyed or times out. Both teammates and enemy legends can mount any Titan. Mounting your Titan lets you shoot your weapons from its shoulders or back but leaves you a bit more exposed from certain angles, enemy players can take control of a Titan by mounting yours or drop a grenade in it to destroy it just like Titanfall’s. Titans will not be “op” but would be considerably hard to destroy and will not be accurate at shooting enemy players. Titans can move around the map to some extent and will listen to player’s who use a “move here” ping.
Kill Ring
Killing players would cause the ring to shrink, and close in where the player was killed. This means that as players die, the ring would be closing faster, and could close in on another location at any given time.
