make pubs playable again

Not sure what server you're on but I can still get a match very quickly... if I'm willing to tolerate two- or sometimes single-bucket matchmaking. So from my perspective they've already given up on any form of sbmm in pubs. If they're pretending any differently I'd be surprised to hear about it. That said, in my opinion if your population is so low that your game can no longer support functional sbmm then your game is in its death throes. We, all of us, me included, keep talking about what needs fixing and where all the problems are, but the truth is that it's more or less already all over and those of us who hang on have to make our peace with the fact that there are many, many aspects of this game that either don't work as advertised or just plain don't work at all. I guess seven years isn't such a bad run....

I don't know, this is just crazy. I've been playing duos for three hours now. In every lobby, I have the same three or four teams, and they're destroying the entire lobby.

What's this even supposed to mean? xD How do you escape them if matchmaking takes 5-10 minutes?

I wouldn't give a **bleep** about what you described, but if we've reached the point where matchmaking in pubs sometimes lasts 10 minutes at certain times of the day, surely that's a sign that something needs to be done about SBMM?

I understand all of this, but what's the logic behind 5-10-minute matchmaking in a mode where gameplay usually lasts just a few minutes?

I remember a time when, in pubs, you could barely click the match search button and you immediately found a match. Now? Now that's impossible. You're always playing with the same people, and matchmaking takes an absurd amount of time.

Wildcard has become a place for cheaters - I fully agree here.

I simply don't want to play ranked games above D4 because solo q is pure torture.

I don't want to play Wildcard because there are too many cheaters there who never miss a shot.

I want to play trios or duos, but matchmaking takes so long that I spend more time waiting for a game than playing it—and that's the problem.

It's funny but I read that post and automatically assumed it was from three years ago and that somebody just bumped it back to the top. Imagine my surprise to see that it was posted yesterday.

Sorry to be the one tell you, but pubs was over a long time ago. Wildcard started with promise but very soon gave itself over to bad game design and to cheaters.

If you want a mode where there is less quitting then you have only ranked. Which has terrible lobby balancing and a cheater problem no less than any other mode.

I guess it's bot royale or nothing anymore.

I've been trying pubs for four days now. I don't know how anyone can play it. Every other game is a cheater, and duos are two friends with the highest badges vs. bronze. In 99% of games, I never get a teammate on par with the people who trample me in every match.
