@PixJa The bright flash is to hide the transition from the place you died to the totem I think, it's probably more mechanical than cosmetic so I doubt they can remove it.

When you die while in shadow mode you regain health equal to the amount you had when entering, up to a max of 50 HP.
So there is a hard cap at 50 HP which some what "forces" you to heal up after if you don't want to risk dying faster.- @PixJa Well, if there was no cap, then they would respawn with full health, and that's a bit too strong.
Also, if you silence someone like Wraith or Pathfinder, focus them down since they can't escape.
