Map Selection instead of Rotation

I have found Apex Legends as an absolute gem. For about two years straight, I hadn't played any video games. When I bought the PS4 to play Borderlands, I came across this excellent free-to-play game. I was a heavy COD player, but this game as reignited that desire for challenge in a FPS. I fell in love season 3, with a whole 2.5k games played in that season. All the patches and what not have been pretty great. This most recent one is lacking player choice. The maps need to be selected. I enjoy the 2 part ranked series between both maps, awesome idea. But taking away the choice of map for public matches? It's a HUGE turn off to the game. I used to play this game for hours, now I only play when World's Edge is on; I experience way to much frustration in King's Canyon. Another thing I noticed is the game logic seems to fail for the first 30minutes of a map change. This is extremely annoying as I lag out of games consistently, mostly before the match even starts! I have to load into 6 games before even being able to play? That really sucks... I'd love to see these map issues addressed! Thank you for the wonderful game and the hard work. If things go south from here, I'm probably just going to return my PS4 and wait another year or two for something to spark my interest enough for a PS5 hahaha.
