Map Selection instead of Rotation

I have found Apex Legends as an absolute gem. For about two years straight, I hadn't played any video games. When I bought the PS4 to play Borderlands, I came across this excellent free-to-play game. I was a heavy COD player, but this game as reignited that desire for challenge in a FPS. I fell in love season 3, with a whole 2.5k games played in that season. All the patches and what not have been pretty great. This most recent one is lacking player choice. The maps need to be selected. I enjoy the 2 part ranked series between both maps, awesome idea. But taking away the choice of map for public matches? It's a HUGE turn off to the game. I used to play this game for hours, now I only play when World's Edge is on; I experience way to much frustration in King's Canyon. Another thing I noticed is the game logic seems to fail for the first 30minutes of a map change. This is extremely annoying as I lag out of games consistently, mostly before the match even starts! I have to load into 6 games before even being able to play? That really sucks... I'd love to see these map issues addressed! Thank you for the wonderful game and the hard work. If things go south from here, I'm probably just going to return my PS4 and wait another year or two for something to spark my interest enough for a PS5 hahaha.

I'm going to wait until the event ends, if after that the map rotation continues, I'll just uninstall the game, simple right?

This is the worst timing for you to make this huge mistake. 
I repeat, the is the worst timing for interrupting your game addicts. 
I’m sure other games developers are thanking you for giving every gamer staying long times at home 2 hours break in his gaming session that he used to dedicate for his favorite Apex so he can try their new games they just released. 
Its way too much that u dominates players and decide for them by force to play maps they may not like at all. 
You devs are the most aware how trash the KC map design is, and it should be a thing of the past. 
It was fairly a good map as a start, but after introducing WE, u can’t take us back to this huge downgrade design and structure of KC. 
and If u want to satisfy the players that can’t move on from KC, then make it available for them by selection and they can rot in waiting in queue.
I’m sure they will be ashamed to complain for long wait times cuz it means that they’re wanting what the majority agreed not to want. 
  

no worries mate, valorant is comming this summer

I think this map rotation may have ruined the game i was sooooo obsessed with since launch. Will probably quit Apex and get COD until they remove Kings Canyon map rotation. Kings canyon is not a good map, World's Edge is where it's at.

My friends are switching to: call of duty, personally I think apex was better. before they transformed it into the garbage that it is now, if their servers didn't give it enough, they would sell the map I would pay without problems because playing every 2 hours is not fun and I almost don't want to play it anymore because I think that the KC map it's much worse than WE! I have played a lot of KC, and I tried to give KC a chance but it is impossible after knowing WE!

I agree, all maps should be available, however weekly challenges that are map specific (like “get 4 knockdowns in the geyser” ) should either be removed, or should follow the rotation. In order for the weekly challenge to follow the map rotation, the rotation should either be lengthened, in the form of an increase from 2 or less hours to a few days or maybe even the whole week. Another solution would be to change the rotation system to a selection system. This change would not only allow weekly challenges to stay the same, but make the game as a whole more enjoyable, and make the variety in control of the player. A player could decide when they’re done with one map and ready to move on to the next one. Thanks for reading😃

i can’t even begin to explain how much I hate kings canyon and now I’m forced to plat it because it rotates in twice and I’m forced to play it on ranked also? I actually deleted the game over this and I was a hard core player who spent tons of money on it. I’ll attempt to keep up to date on the next patch to see if they fix this garbage before I return
