GLITCHES AND CHEATERS

I have been playing this game since the beginning and understandably there was glitches then too but it was still in development. However, as time goes on it seems that Apex is not capable of fixing the glitches when it comes to the ending of a season and a new season. Always freezing or getting kicked out of a match with a penalty and then having to restart the game since they throw error codes like it's going out of style. There is also the problem of cheaters, no one is capable of spinning and killing you and then not show up on the kill cam and no one should be able to speed up their shots, or move super quick or have aimbot. There is also the issue of spawn killing. If the game has to mention a spawn camper and not do anything about it; what is the point of the announcement? If apex can't fix these issues, they should just shut down the whole game. Especially now that they are asking for more when it comes to the battle passes splitting it for 2 passes in one season. 🙄

Where do i begin, luckily I have few points to mention so let's dive right in:

    1. Cheaters are everywhere, I've seen so many different cheats, they have so much power such as:
      - Use aimbot
      - Map hack / wall hack
      - Be invisible / fly / run super fast
      - Get endless armor and health
      - Crash your game
      - DDOS the server
      - Access EA servers and do any type of hacking they want to do
      They have already proven to:
      - Get into EA servers
      - Stealing moderator accounts
      - Hack full online tournament event
      - Spawn as many bots as they want
      - Crash / freeze servers
    2. Console players/cheaters (worst kind):
      - You CAN NOT opt out from cross-platform play as a PC player (WHY?, so you can queue me with cheaters?
      - It's allowed to use pedal (it's allowed yes). You can buy it on amazon and wont be banned

    3. - I don't know if anyone at EA knows that easy(anti)cheat is so lame and useless that if you cheat, it will make a profile for you that you are a good player and you wont be banned if you continue cheating.
      - I understand EA doesn't want to invest a dime into anti-cheat software because it's NOT generating money, but banning players active players who might buy skins, but i can assure you NO cheater will buy a skin knowing he will be banned one day.
      - At this moment Im not sure if anyone at EA understand that cheating is just destroying the gaming industry, and it is a necessity to clean the servers from cheaters, they can implement multiple invisible false enemies to confuse the cheat, create scripts that detect aiming patterns, when someone is detected as a cheater - can match the cheaters with cheaters (like shadowban). There are plenty of solutions, but nothing is being done

Finally. I dont know if EA understand that apex legends is the most infected game with cheaters, that it's unplayable and it's almost dead. I assume the marketing team will raise alarm once the numbers drop down from an unrecoverable phase. Then they can kiss goodbye the whole game and it's audience, if it's not already there.

"... if it's not already there."

Revenue and player count declines have been substantial for several seasons now. Substantial enough that Andrew Wilson mentions it in earnings calls with shareholders. "Apex net bookings down... expectations not met... blah blah blah." They keep talking about Apex 2.0, but what they describe sounds like less change than we got in this one single new season, and there's never any mention of cheating. Because, I guess, if you don't talk about it then it doesn't exist? And on top of all that, 2.0 is still close to two years away because you can't have it interfere with the launch of the new Battlefield.

And that's what this all keeps coming back to: EA has the new Battlefield on deck and that game needs to be successful, plain and simple. You can't spend that much money on a title and have it fail if you want to maintain your business. Just ask 343 studios. Never mind that the goals EA has set for new players is completely unrealistic. Never mind that cheat makers are probably already selling cheats for a game that doesn't even launch officially for another two months. And biggest of all, never mind that EA already has one of the big three battle royale shooters on the market. No, let's just let that game fade into oblivion in the desperate hope that we can bring in 100,000,000 players for BF6. Sure, EA. Sure. This is what happens when leadership stops wanting to hear the truth from people, especially their own employees, and only wants to hear what they want to hear.

Then again, maybe BF6 will launch bug-free, unlike Apex. Maybe it will have high-functioning matchmaking designed to retain casual players instead of drive them away like Apex. Maybe it will have some incredibly powerful AI-driven anti-cheat that sets a new industry standard. Which Apex obviously never had and probably never will have. Maybe I'll switch over to Battlefield because of all the newer, better, fairer features. And maybe monkeys will fly out my butt.

  • My journey:

    • joined season 7 (end), explored the game for ~1 season
    • understood this is "forever beta" as all free to play games - not a big deal, I can live with level playing field as long as there are no hackers and just bugs = same for everyone after all
    • got a "apex bug" and grinded ranked hard
    • around season 10 with already some experience in D4+ lobbies started to see some sus things and hit the wall of legit soloqing people = you get to D4 quite easily and then basically become cannonballmeat (old ranked system, now same applies around D3/D2)
    • was on and off season 15-20, skipped a few
    • gave benefit of a doubt for past 5 seasons (skipped I guess one)
    • basically done with this game until they fix hacking issue

When you get it you get it. Have like 300+ hours in aimlabs, 15k or so in Apex, additional few hundreds in other shooters like Valorant and Overwatch and Quake 3... still getting owned hard no matter what because... yeah gaming chairs and protection from "above".

Kinda fed up to go against enchanced people protected by the system.

And overall the community honestly is very disappointing - loads of casuals who just came for "loot" with no intention of getting better, more so asking to drag skill level lower and lower each season.

And then there are all the communication channels where as soon as you say something bad about the game -> comments deleted, people removed, bans. To a point where my reddit got permabanned because someone of Apex reddit asked not only a ban from sub-reddit but reddit itself :)

Not touching this game until they fix hacking issues and above said. Or hopefully just switch to a better game.
