Match Making has caused me to quit

@MalthiusBoleros  I totally understand. I've been so close several times to uninstalling for the exact same reason. Matchmaking is complete trash if you are a solo queue player. It is absolutely rage inducing to go multiple games in a row getting completly destroyed by people you have no business being in the same lobby with.

MM can't be based entirely on KDR, although I do agree that KDR should be toward the top of the list.    In a team game , there are more elements to 'skill' than just kills.

@MalthiusBolerosrun and never look back! I come back here to check the forums and play a game every now and again. Uninstalled once before, but the fact is there isn’t another good FPS out there imo. That’s soon to change in this next year I believe. I will keep an eye out for these developers names and never purchase another title by them again. Not out of hate but the fact I don’t want this frustration over a video game. I’m here to have fun. Not hear some master level player call me trash in my gold lobby. People have posted this problem going on 4 seasons now. 

I came back to try this game out after many years, will be quitting again. Going back to cs. This matchmaking is trash, servers are also trash, and they are still not adding ability to disable that cheater-fest called crossplay. I guess if I was a developer that played on a controller and can't aim with a mouse, I would also make the controller more powefull with 'legal' autoaim.

The Horizon and Gibby had the same 4 digit clan-tag. The Seer had a different 4 digit clan-tag.

I really hope they fix the matchmaking when the new season drops, wtf

Impossible. Ive said it many times but you cant base a strict "skill based" matchmaking on "skill variables" that are totally dependent on the skill of your opponents. For instance; 2 KD doesnt say anything about your skill outside the context of the current matchmaking which the 2 KD has been achieved. In bronze lobbies, I have 6-7 KD, in diamond lobbies I have around 1 KD, among preds and masters, I have like 0.3 KD and in the matchmaking currently for pubs, I have like 2-2.5... KD is a relative stat.

If they started to use KD strictly as a matchmaking variable tomorrow, the lobbies would be fair for a short period of time but soon, the lobbies would be even more mixed than it is right now.

They will never change it.

It is because it works on EOMM (engagement optimized matchmaking). You are not matched on skill but it combines a number of different factors, to try to increase overall engagement. This is why most of us have a good first game to keep us playing looking for that one win that gives you a good feeling.

The more players play the more likely they are to spend money on coins that's how it works. That's all they care about. I encourage you to keep coming here and keep an eye on how many matchmaking posts you see. I've posted about it for over a year now and trust me they don't care one bit. 

They don't even come here and read our posts why would they when the company has made over Apex Legends has made over $2 billion. 

@MagnumSkyWolfYeah people know about that kind of matchmaking. That is why some of us never give them a single cent. You should do the same.

@mkdninja oh I don't want to give them a cent. Not going to lie I have bought a battlepass in the past but I rarely give them a single set to the point where I've been playing since day one and every yet to get an heirloom
