Matchmaking is broken!
So I play with two of my friends and we play mostly Pubs. We are gold level players. Never climbed above gold 1. And yet, in pubs, we keep betting annihilated by players with 4k, Master/Predator ...

@Solim66 / @PsyhiX69 to be fair - you can't expect to win every game or even have a fighting chance.
BR and such lobbies should be approached from a bit more humble perspective. Either:
a) ok I will give it my best shot, let's see how I compare vs such players - to be honest the number of games means nothing so do those old season Predator badges, no one decent enough now is not scared of oldtimers who used to be good or got the badge when there were 3000+ preds.
b) evaluate the situation that ok there is a crazy squad in the lobby = so all fights you take should be in 3rd party format, even those crazy ppl do lose 3rd party fights more often than not.
c) try to play more passive, disengage if you start seeing that someone is just frying you, let other squads - potentialy as good as this in the screenshot - take out one another.
Otherwise you are saying that these squads are bullies at the same time you want to be that bully and win every lobby yourself = kinda not fair 🙂
Say they actually made it be "skill base matchmaking", all the smurphs and cheaters would just throw off the calculations and it be the same thing regardless. Besides, as mention, they rather have streamers be in lobbies where they can dunk on everyone.
I remember back in like season 8, Rouge got put into my match, and he killed like half the lobby as an octane. I went "wait, is that really him?", went to Twitch, watching him indeed play that match, while complaining about cheaters and Hideouts. Every single player he came across had virtually no skill and my "skill", (if you can even call it that), was off that day too.
So yeah, their "Skill Base Matchmaking" is only meant to cater to streamers. Everyone else pretty much have to deal with it. Pretty sure you'll get the same lobbies even on a new account.
Edited: To further show how unbalanced it is, you don't even see player's rank in Arenas. I've clicked on people's icons after the match to look at their profiles, and while I was Plat III in Arenas Ranked, these people were Bronze to Gold players. Didn't realize the "skill gap" between bronze and plat were the same, even bronze and pred.
They need to stop doing this as well:
