Matchmaking Team mates

Point number one this season has been the worst for having limited teammates numerous times i’m going into games and it’s just me or another, no third.

Point number two this has been bugging me for years. Me and my friend play rank together as a two we have good games we have bad games we are both diamond players in skill however whenever we play separately he always seems to have good teammates and good games to push him up to diamond so I lose interest because every time I play I always get bad teammates all the time and I can’t go up against three stacks with 15,000 kills on my own can somebody please explain why this happens to me time and time again? I’ve put a lot of hours into this game and I don’t want people to think. Oh you just need to get better or your friend is better than you because that’s not the point. I always think the skill-based matchmaking has hindered me in this game. Especially when we play together.

Our stats are very similar mine slightly better in terms of kill/death ratio et cetera so why do I always get paired with lower skilled players to take on three stacks? Preds, Masters, diamond lobbies.

this has been since season 7/8

Does anyone have an explanation?

    I'm not really clear on where the two of you are on the rank ladder, but for the most part ranks don't lie. If he's hitting diamond and you're not then he's a diamond tier player and you're not. K/D is part of the equation, but only a part. Win rate is a factor, placement is a factor, damage is a factor, accuracy is a factor. If you had visibility on all these numbers then it might make the disparities a little more clear. And obviously I'm not him so I don't know for a fact, but it seems very unlikely that sbmm always gives him golden teammates when he solo queues, and always gives you less experienced teammates when you solo queue. Grass is always greener on the other side of the fence?
