Matchmaking

Possible balancing

Mixtape, possibly BR

If player achieves 25+ kills, they are too powerful for that lobby.

If player achieves less than 5 kills or more than 25 deaths, they are not powerful enough for that lobby.

Numbers can vary.

  • Actually, the purpose of "match making" is to match against skill.

Match making means you match people into lobbies of similar skill.

Also, if I were 25+ kill level, I would just keep my kills to 24. The problem remains to a large extent and prevents a group of players from playing.

    That's why it's a KDR system.
Also, the numbers should be kept secret so people can't smurf it.
Who knows, it might go 15, or even 10.
I've made 10 in a few Mixtapes, a couple I still lost. If you quit killing you lose. There's no real point to stop other than smurfing. If you don't try, you might get flagged and reviewed, and if they find that you stopped trying to make kills, they might ban you for smurfing.
However, some people are actual cowards and will hide or rat. I'm sometimes one of those people, especially in Royale. I prefer my 300 placement XP over my possible 50 damage/kills XP.
Those kinds of people shouldn't be banned. They'll figure it out, eventually.
Like me, this season. Those healthbars are the whole reason I'm making 10ks in mixtape. Normally I can't do better than 2.

Also, with my suggestion, 25+ kills is more than half the credit for TDM (40), so they obviously outclassed the battle.
But, if they were traded every single kill they made, 25k, 25d, that's neutral ground. Sure they made more than half the points for their team, but they were also more than half of the enemy points. They're roughly evenly classed there.
They can shoot sure, but they just don't know how to survive. Therefore they are in their class.
Those who can kill and survive should be classed up to become roughly even.
Those who can't survive or shoot need to be downclassed.
Those who purposefully throw matches to be downclassed need to be banned for smurfing. Or thrown and locked into a high place lobby so they can feel what they are doing to their enemies through their smurfing.
Eventually they might learn to try for true placement.
If you die and kill of about even proportions, you're gold.

Again, it's KDR, not truly just kills or just deaths.

Well, what I was trying to say is a match making system shouldn't eliminate people from playing because they are not in the proper range. It should match them with lobbies that are their range.

It doesn't. It just upclasses or downclasses to match with their skill, primarily based on average match KDR.
In the levels where they have a balanced KDR, that's their skill zone.
Above average, they should have tougher battles.
    Below average, easier battles.
Now, it's understandable that sometimes there's not enough people on to truly do that, and it can sometimes seem like there are smurfs because of that. Just means you'll be put up against that person less, populace willing. Meaning that you got to hope there's enough people of your skill on so you aren't put up against higher skill opponents.
