This is why I will never ever take any kind of 'Competitive' or 'Ranked' play over the internet too seriously. Because if you think its that serious, you're basically just a sucker for marketing.
If you want real competition, you don't get a custom rig. That's why in real tournaments, they are played over a LAN and you don't get to bring your own computer. Same with any for real competitive sport...sure for example in NASCAR, it's all about 'cheating'. But there are still rules that have to be followed. That's why you can't bring a Formula car to the track.
One day people might get this but I doubt it. If you want to achieve a Predator rank, you better not only be a good player, but you better cut every single unmonitored angle you can that EA can't detect or do anything about. And if you dig that, go for it.
Me, I'm just not going to take your or my rank all that seriously. Because the game doesn't. When it does, I will.
