Multiple reload animations. ( verry frustrating )

There is this thing that when i'm 99% sure i reload my 2nd gun and it should be ready for combat.

then when im in combat i need my 2nd gun RIGHT NOW!!!

And it starts the last reload animation ( ofting pulling the hendle or something )

I have been thinking its me not watching the full reload animation before.

But i startet recording my game and i checked it out.

And yes!

I grab a gun i do a complete reload animation i run around with the gun. then i get  my main gun again.

I get into a fight then i shot my complete magazine empty on my 1st gun,

I grab my 2nd gun and it starts the whole pulling the hendle ( final reload ) animation before i can shoot. ( The gun should be ready now!!!! it was ready 1 min ago )

I din't pick up another magazine, i din't swap the guns places ( 1st to 2nd ) i din't do anything with it.

I think this is wrong? its not always doing the animation when i get the gun.

Normaly i can just shoot it right after i press ''2''.

Other people with the same problem?
Anyone knows when this triggers or is it just a bug?

    Funny how people don’t read your op or watch the video but just love to reply anyway. “You have to complete the reload animation” lol
    Not even the community manager reads it... Good stuff
  • That's the standard gun cocking animation that happens with the spitfire.  It is not reloading, just the animation that will happen every time you switch to it before firing.  LMGs do this animation slower, while guns like pistols/SMGs are much faster.  This is a way to keep people from running around using 2 LMGs and just firing hundreds of bullets every game.  The animation is a penalty for switching during firefights.  You should lead with the slower gun and clean up with a quick-ready gun like an SMG.

    Hi OP, I ready your post, I watched your clip, and I've responded to a similar post just the other day with a solution to this!

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/Weapons-Loot-Feedback/Shootgun-BUG/m-p/7777073#M2269

    I too, have been in that EXACT situation, and I have found a solution (and have a theory as to what I believe the 'problem' to be).

    If you're referring to the animation your character does when swapping to the EVA from your primary, it 'cranks' or 'cocks; the gun, this is normal whenever you swap & change the attachments, like, if you were to get a shotgun bolt lvl 3 (replacing your lvl 2) but you didn't actually switch to that weapon, when you end up needing it after you've emptied your primary weapon's mag but your target isn't dead, that little 0.5h of second animation is enough to get you dead.

    SOLUTION: Whenever you get new attachments, always swap between all your weapons & back to 'no weapon' (and fully complete the animation).

    I've died because of this animation so many times so, now, whenever I am on '3' running to a location, I make it a habit to check, double-check, triple-check, (by pressing '1', then '2', then back to '3'), all the time...so for when i am in combat, I do not get the animation.

    But if that's what you meant, then the above solution should solve your issues (happened to me using the Havoc as secondary, or the Spitfire).

    Hope this helps.

  • Same bug happens to me. I've tried the "finishing reloading animation" and it's still a problem. Very frustrating and not supposed to happen every time you pull your weapon out.

    @itsNologyTTV

    So im taking the trouble writing a whole story.

    Then i make a whole clip just to prove the story true.

    Please enlighten me at what time in the clip the reload animation did not finish....

    @nprice09

    I tried this, it does not always do this animation when you grab it.

    If there is any other way the animation triggers i would like to hear it so i can anticipate on it.

    Also i don't only have this problem with a spitfire.

    @JoJo_DeBlahhh

    Thanks for the help man.

    I was thinking this may be the case.

    But in the clip i posted before i don't pick up a single attachment after the complete reload animation of the spitfire.

    If i did can you give me a time in the video where i pick it up.

    Im only human maybe i keep missing it ^^.

    Also i have this problem with all the weps.

    But some weps just have a realy fast reload animation so its not a big issue there.

    Once again thanks for finally a reasonable response.

    Before i go into combat now i always triple check my weps now ^^

    Its getting a lot better with the checks but sometimes i still die to this and its realy frustrating.

    OK so, I've watched the clip again and here is my (untested) theory.

    You had a Hemlok, switched to the Spitfire, immediately all the attachments from your Hemlok went to your Spitfire (you did that initial 'cocking of Spitfire' animation but that was as you dropped your Hemlok & picked up the Spitfire - at no point did you ever equip your R99 and go to the Spitfire from your R99 {in other words, you never went from 1 -> 2, only from 2 -> switching weapon on 2, and then from 3 -> 1, then eventually from 1 -> 2 and that's when it did it).

    For the rest of the clip you only went from your, now, Spitfire, to 'no weapon' and switched back a couple of times to your R99.

    Maybe you needed to go from your R99 -> Spitfire at least once, before the engagement? I am guessing, because of the attachments that were added when doing the Hemlok -> Spitfire Transfer. I am pretty sure that would've canceled out the animation?

    I'm glad I was able to help a little; but you still say you have some issues with this so here's what I suggest (until they fix, at least), because ever since I did this, I have not had one-single-instance of this happening to me (and before I was like you, dying all the bloody time to this 'bug').

    When I'm not looting / When I'm moving to a new location / When I am catching up to my team-mates before an engagement, I always do this pattern:

    Weapon 1 = Key 1

    Weapon 2 = Key 2

    No Weapon = Key 3

    I do 2 main moves, the first became second nature, after 250 hours of playing APEX, and the 2nd is for 'good measure'.

    First move: 3 -> 1 -> 2 -> 1 -> 3

    Second move, I do separately: 3 -> 2 -> 3.

    I will also occasionally spam: 3 -> 1 -> 3 // or // 3 -> 2 -> 3.

    Don't do it so fast that the full animation doesn't load, of you even holding the weapon.

    If you still get issues after that, then it's probably time it was properly tested (but honestly, I'd much rather just play APEX rather than sit there & test stuff).

    Keep me posted if it helps remove it completely; drop a reply so get it to my inbox.
