Feedback: Apex needs a full Season 6 rewind

The game is currently dying. Over and over again, EA keeps listening to the absolute top streamers while neglecting basically everyone else. It’s honestly a perfect example of how to lose money through pure ignorance.

The game was perfect. It was unique, it had so much potential (I’ve been here since Season 2). Then, all of a sudden and without reason, EA decided it needed constant changes — new systems, new weapons, reworks, endless balance shifts. That’s not what people wanted, and definitely not what made Apex successful in the first place.

Look at CS — they improve visuals and performance, never the core gameplay — and they’re still going strong after decades. Apex, on the other hand, has become a prime example of how to ruin something special by overcomplicating it.

What this game truly needs isn’t more “innovation.” It needs a full rewind to Season 6 — maps, balance, legends, movement, battle pass — everything. Back to the basics. That version of Apex was fast, fun, smooth, and balanced.

Keep all the new legends if you must, but place them within the Season 6 framework. No new unnecessary mechanics, no major reworks, no random “OP for a season” ideas. Just bring it back to what it was when it actually worked.

That’s what Apex needs right now — not new maps, new guns, or flipped balance every patch. The player base isn’t asking for constant reinvention; they’re asking for restoration.

I genuinely can’t understand why the company insists on believing that massive changes are the solution, when it’s painfully clear that those very changes are what caused the player base to drop so badly.

  • I agree with what you wrote. I agree, and this game will die if it continues to be nothing but chaos.

I'd like to add that, in addition to what you wrote, they should focus on AI-based anti-cheat that will control your game in real time. All scripts, macros, wallhacks, aimbots, and devices like Zen or XIM, etc., will then be immediately banned. This is what Apex desperately needs right now, because the number of dishonest players has never been as high as it has been over the past few seasons, and the problem is getting worse.

Their anti-cheat just only ban the fair player.

Yeah, this is also an important aspect. Actually feel like scripts are getting out of hand, or soft aimbots (unsure of the real name). Everytime i see the early notes of a new season, i feel the game dying. Everyone on youtube, every season "huge changes comming" -it's just so **bleep** stupid. They lose players while using money on development no one ever asked of, then wonder why their losing money. A competetive game should always have balance and be consistent.

  • The competitive community and streamers should flexibly adapt to the direction of the game's operation, and not the other way around.

I frequently hear the argument that catering to hardcore players risks making the game closed-off and pushing new users away. While streamers and competitive players excel at game knowledge, they are not experts in game management or business strategy.

Streamers and competitive players can leverage their adaptability as a means to captivate fans.
